Complaint #14: I came across JustFab on tv and decided to browse. I bought a pair of shoes – the shoes were uncomfortable and low quality.
By: C’e.
I decided I’ll eat the 20 dollars and never purchase again. I never got any emails from them stating that I had an active account with them. I was checking my bank account today and found that I had a charge for 39.99 from just fab. I looked through my history to see if any more charges had gone out and found I had another one last month too!
I called and requested I be refunded the 80 dollars they’d charged without my knowledge. They told me when I made my initial purchase that I was acknowledging the recurring charges. She also proceeded to tell me that they send emails with what they feel are matched products. I told them I got no emails for me to even realize that I had a charging account I would have cancelled had I been sent an email of products or charges.
She said she’ll discuss if a refund can be issued as this is “not how [they] typically handle credits”. She said I was approved for one credit but the other 39.99 charge will remain a just fab credit. I requested the money be returned to me to which she put me on a hold for a minute to come back and tell me that’s not how they operate. She stated that a refund is not within their policy but that she was able to issue me one but she couldn’t do anything about the other.
In the end I got stuck with a store credit. I closed my account.
DO NOT USE JUST FAB – SCAMMERS.

I realized on yesterday upon checking my banking account which I do on a DAILY basis that this rip off of a company had charged me $39.95 for something I’ve never ordered! When I signed up for this company there was NO MENTION that they would be charging EVERY MONTH for something I’ve NEVER ordered. For the person who said that it was clearly stated several times that this would happen….YOU MUST be an employee of the company because there is NO WAY IN THE WORLD that I would have given ANYONE permission to take money out of my account when they’ve provided me NO SERVICE for anything. Picking out a few shoes and purse combos does not constitute you doing anything worth me allowing you to ROB me every month! If this was stated you better believe it was in the smallest print known to man kind because as I previously stated I am well informed of my bills and account information which is why I caught them the first and LAST time they did this. Why should I have to push a stupid button EVERY MONTH to KEEP YOU FROM STEALING FROM ME? Seriously? I’ve CANCELLED this rip off and I hope that anyone else who is considering hooking up with this BAMBOOZLE of a company reads this before!!!!! DON’T GET INVOLVED WITH JUSTFAB!!!! THEY WANT YOUR MONEY FOR DOING NOTHING FOR YOU!!!!!

Ok, so I went back in just to make that there wasn’t something I missed during the explanation of this “membership process” and I noticed when I went back to complete a fake account is that it states that there are NO MEMBERSHIP FEES!!!! There is nothing stating when you are signing up for this SCAM that you have to push a SKIP THIS MONTH BUTTON!!!! So, I am convinced that if there is something on there it is in the small fine print, EVER! If there is no MEMBERSHIP FEES how is that you can STEAL $40.00 out of someone’s account because they didn’t push a button? RIP OFF!!!! I have ordered things from plenty of sites and they have never come back a month later saying that I owe them $40.00 because I didn’t push a button. This is a way for SCAM of a company to keep money coming in!!!!!

I’ve read so many complaints about this company. It’s actually really funny. Everyone complains about not knowing that you get billed every month. How do you sign up with a website, give them all of your banking information, and not read READ what you are actually signing up for??! They will bill you every month UNLESS you hit the “skip this month” button within the first five days of each month. Yes, it is annoying to have to do so, but they do state this A NUMBER OF TIMES.. How is it that people only notice this five months after being billed each month? Maybe you need to keep better track of your bills? Stop being so carefree with your money. If you actually took the effort to read what you are singing up for, none of you would be complaining.
Report #11 Customer Service are just two words to this company! | Just Fabulous

I purchased 2 pairs of shoes from Just Fabulous on the bday program and when I received the shoes only one pair was what i ordered. They stuck in the second pair without notifying me. I’m assuming that what I ordered was out of stock and I emailed the company from their website asking for direction on what I should do. I also needed to exchange them due to sizing (appears they run a tad small). I never heard back from the company. Why offer an area to email them if you do not intend to reply? So finally I called the 866 number and was told that since I had not called within the 30 days I could not return or exchange the shoes at all and that it was also a special program that did not allow returns or exchanges either. She said the reasoning was that the shoes would not be available/in stock to exchange. So I offered to make a different selection for both pair that the shoes would not fit. She said they can’t do that.
My question now is how do they expect to stay in business when they wouldn’t do something simple like make an exchange? It wouldn’t hurt them and they would have a satisfied customer that wouldnt bad mouth them every opportunity I had? Wouldn’t have cost them a dime to exchange shoes that have never been out of the box..now, I have a mission. Keep folks from purchasing from JustFab..Good luck Kimora.

This site is a scam. I ordered shoes in January which were cheap and uncomfortable n decided not to order from them again. I checked my crediti card today (4 months later) n saw a charge for $40 from justfab! I now need to check my statements from the previous months bc I’m sure they had been charging me this whole time. It’s absolutely ridiculous to charge someone when they arent ordering the crap merchandise they are offering. Nowhere did I c anything about a monthly “VIP” charge. They r closed by on Monday they will receive a phone call from me n they won’t be happy about it n I’m going to try n dispute these charges with my bank. It’s pretty sad when a company has to charge innocent people to make money. The site is a scam stay away!

I had purchased some shoes from just fab. The quality of the shoes where ok not what I had expected. They look cheap. After purchasing an order they tell me that there is going to be a 439.95 fee monthly because you become a VIP member.
So I called just fab to cancel my order. I thought everything was fine until 2 months later they charge my account $39.95. I called them again and they told me that my account was not canceled that the operater was confused. How are you to know that the last operate was confused. I specifically said I WANT MY MEMBERSHIP CANCELLED. How is that confusing? SO she canceled my membership again and she refunded me the money.
Lets see if they take out money again. Im here to put this review for people to see and keep look out on there accounts, to make sure they are not being charged even after the fact. How many people have they done this to?

When I signed up for membership at JUSTFAB.com, there was never any mention of automatic monthly billing in the start-up process. I was asked to select which style of shoes I like, which color I preferred, and which height appealed to me the most. They offered me 50% off the first pair of shoes, which I indulged in a pair. When the shoes arrived, although they looked good, the quality was poor, very poor indeed. In fact, they were not even the same size boot width. The left boot was medium width and fit nicely, but the right boot was small and i was unable to do up the boot zipper.
I emailed the customer support and made a complaint and ask about return/refund. The customer service was very unhelpful in providing information useful to me. I decided in the end to forget the refund, as it seemed too complicated, but I made it known to the customer service rep that I would never be shopping on JUSTFAB again due to dissatisfaction. Not once, did the customer service representative inform me that I need to cancel my membership.
I treated all emails and promotions from JUSTFAB as spam and ignored it.
Then a $40 debit was made to my credit card 5 months later from JUSTFAB. I disputed the transaction with my bank and went through past monthly statements and saw that every month since November 2011, JUSTFAB has been making monthly deductions on my credit card to the amount of $35-$40.
I immediately went online and bought up the JUSTFAB website and checked my ‘orders’ profile to see why the hell I was charged $150 for a pair of shoes that cost $20 and saw that in my order history there was only ever a one off purchase from November 2011.
I tried to cancel my membership online, and was told I need to call them to cancel….it was then I realized Ive been scammed.
I called to cancel my membership and after a long rehearsed quotation of what a valued customer I am, he asked me why I want to cancel. My response was because I have had $150 deducted from my credit card without my authorization. The customer service rep expressed zero surprise or shock and told me that the monthly deductions were stated clearly in some brochure they sent out to me with the shoes.
Again, I never agreed to automatic monthly deductions and the company does a good job of concealing this information from their customers. It is not on the front page of the website, or mentioned at anytime during the membership application process.
Who reads the fine print in brochures? Everyone knows you only look at the pictures. Its a brochure for shoe shopping for gods sake.
anyway, I am disputing every transacttion with my bank and hope they website can be forced to be more transparent in their shady dealings.
Post complaints on their facebook wall too, dont be ashamed to stoop so low, they stole our money from us!
Review #7 Shady business running scam with membership fees
By: Valeska Lichner
JustFab.com is a boutique website that offers a recurring personalized monthly selection of shoes and bags that you an choose from to buy. Each pair of shoes is just $39.95. OK, that’s not really cheap, but it’s not super expensive either.
I signed up for the site and was happy. When I was signing up they did not make any monthly charge known. They did not make any attempt to impart the information that you would be paying out your ass as soon as you bought something onto their customers. They did not ask for credit card or payment information when signing up. It seems like a perfectly harmless boutique site.
So I bought my first pair of shoes. They were on sale, flats, for $19.95. OK. I got them in a timely manner and the quality is alright. It’s what you’d expect for the price. The backs are too stiff and they rub my feet wrong and cause sores and they hurt the soles of my feet if I wear them too long. Despite that, I didn’t have any problem with the site, because I pretty much knew what I was getting into paying $20 for a pair of shoes.
What I didn’t know I was getting into, and what the site makes absolutely no attempt to tell you, is that as soon as you make your first purchase with them they save your payment information and continue to charge you $40 a month under the guise of a “VIP program”. You have the option, during the first five days of a month, to “skip this month” where you are not charged the fee. When you are charged the fee, the $40 is translated into a non-refundable “site credit” good for one “free” pair of shoes. That you already paid for.
Unfortunately, I didn’t catch the recurring charge for a good two months. I had no idea it was going on because as I explained the company makes NO EFFORT to advertise this business as a paid membership program. It is set up as any other online store. Even then, when I caught the charge and decided to cancel my account ASAP, I did so knowing it was a lost cause to try and get my money back. First I tried to cancel it online. Nope. They require you to call in to cancel. But I saw a “live chat” link so I thought I’d try that first. For as angry as I was, I was perfectly civil with the customer support. I opened the live chat with something along the lines of “I’d like to cancel my account please”. I got the canned bogus script reply of “We’re sorry you want to cancel your account” blah blah blah did not offer me anything to stay and all in all acted like it was no great loss. I then vented my frustrations in, again, a civil way, and explained that I was not informed upfront of the monthly charges, and even though I am not asking for a refund, I want to make it clear that I do not agree with the way this business is run and I think it is underhanded, shady, and horrible business practice. It runs like a scam. The customer service lady explained in a huge block of text that again reads like a copy/pasted script that “the first line of the terms and conditions agreement says that there is a monthly membership fee”. Yes, that’s what she said. She said the only indication of the fact that it’s a fee membership site is one line in a document that barely anyone reads. I finally got so frustrated I ditched the live chat because she said, after wasting my time explaining things I already knew, that I could only cancel by calling in. So I called and got the same canned bullshit from a very unpleasant sounding woman who was not at all interested in trying to save me as a customer and did not even pretend to pander to my need to have my concerns heard. Every thing I said she had a quick, scripted reply for. Her favorite thing to say was repeating that the membership fee was explained in the first line of the terms and conditions.
Running a company with a $40 membership monthly fee with no indication that you will be charged except for ONE line in a document that the VAST MAJORITY of people don’t read is absurd. It is borderline scam. If it were worth my time and money I would consider filing a class action suit against this company for the appalling nature of their “VIP Program”. I can only imagine how much money they get each month from unsuspecting people that made one purchase and don’t check their credit card statements.
JustFab.com claims that “We also regret any confusion related to our VIP Membership and how the program works, as we have made every effort to provide our new members as much information as possible during their initial purchase.” This is a flat-out lie. This website operates and thrives on the assumption that no one will read their terms and conditions and they will be able to skim $40-80 off of their customers before they realize what’s going on. That is not honest business practice. That’s scamming and just plain wrong.
Overall, their products are sub-par quality, their prices are average, their customer service is god-awful, and the company misleads customers into paying monthly membership fees without advertising their business as a monthly membership program. Avoid this horrible site at all costs.

I initially responded to a solicitation from their company and ordered a pair of boots at half price. Unfortunately the velvet soles caused me to injure my ankle and now I am facing surgery to repair the damaged tendons. I declined my monthly selections with Just Fab on time each month and finally attempted to cancel the membership via their online “CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP” link. Guess what? It tells you that you have to call them to cancel. I emailed them, explained the situation briefly and asked them to cancel. Their Customer Non-Support department informed me that I HAVE to call to cancel. I emailed again attempting to cancel and received the same non-support. I finally did call and was offered more points if I would stay, then I was offered additional goodies – all of which I rejected. Just Fab did cancel my membership but they also deducted the $39.95 from my checking account. I have received nothing more from them but I would like to have MY money returned to MY account – why would you subject yourself to this kind of treatment and why on earth would you pay this company to allow you to spend your money with them when you can shop for free with most other vendors?
WARNING: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY, they will take your money and treat you like garbage, they really do need to revamp their Customer Service department and they need to rethink their “company policies” if they want to continue doing business.

On 10/05/11, I ordered my first item, which was a purse, for so called value price of $19.95. Since then they have monthly charged my account at $39.95 per month for Nov., Dec., and again in Jan.. My husband was paying my credit card bill for the last few months and was not questioning my charges. Not until today did I look up my account history to see that I have been being billed these charges. I have tried to due their live chat to cancel, their website to cancel, and all them state you must call. This company is a thieving company to be able to charge $40 a month when no purchases are being made. Due to another online purchase, my credit card account info was hacked into and my account was closed. I’m hoping this ends my dealings with this company. I do no remember agreeing to any club subscription when ordering this purse. Would anyone in their right mind pay $39.95 a month for nothing?

I have no issues with paying a monthly membership fee…
I HATE when companies F-up and then want you to jump through hoops to “help” them resolve their issue…. Since when do I work for you? I charge $25 an hour.
I emailed them told them that I have not yet received the order I had placed almost 2 weeks ago, the one they already charged me for. The one they created a shipping label for but apparently never shipped. they responded with:
“We apologize for the inconvenience it brought you. We are not sure as to why the tracking hasn’t updated. To compensate this delay, kindly give us a call or send a livechat so that we can get another order shipped out to you and we will add free rush shipping to the order so you can get it sooner. You can reach our Fashion Consultant Specialist online via Live Chat or by phone at 866-337-0906 M-F 7am to 7pm PST. We look forward to hearing from you.”
TO COMPENSATE this is issue please call us????? UHM NO.
1. I don’t need to compensate anything. I have already given you ALL of the order# and tracking #
2. If you need to speak to me you can call me. I don’t have any more information for you. I don’t need to sit on hold for an hour to deal with your issues.
Finally I did call because I just want a refund and to cancel my membership….. they hung up on me after waiting on hold for 15minutes.
LIVID!!!
It gets better…. the live chat you can use between 9am – 6pm PST, uhm yeah apparently it got off earlier on a Wednesday… they weren’t available at 5pm PST either.
After sitting on hold another 20 minutes I finally spoke to someone who informed me that my order was lost and they would re-ship. Then she read back my order which was the wrong size and color. After correcting her I was informed that the size and color I had originally order was no longer in stock.
Needless to say I got a refund and canceled my subscription. I have emailed and facebooked ALL of my friends to share this experience.
It’s one thing to make a mistake, it’s another to make your customers jump through hoops to correct it for you.
Complaint #3 Bait and Switch.
Ordered two pairs of shoes from JustFab.com that never arrived. Was my first and only order. They told us when we called that about half their packages go missing because they use a third party service through the USPS. Interesting.
I called JustFab.com was to receive a credit, but then was still charged the membership fee 2 days later. You would think that, given we never received anything and no longer had any open orders, that they would credit the fee too. Called, and was told that the only way the membership could be cancelled is if I bought something with the $40 credit. Membership fees were non-refundable.
Otherwise it would keep recharging monthly. JustFabulous forced us to purchase something, to close the membership. At this point, I had spent $80 with the company and had yet to touch a single product. Finally received credit for missing shoes, but took MANY calls, threats of filing complaints with BBB, etc, to finally get the membership fee credited.
Horrible customer service, they literally argued with myself and my wife, and it took many many calls to finally get the right manager to remedy. Even then, she was very stoic and unfriendly. They even told us to not bother to call our bank for help, because the banks would side with them. DO NOT BUY from JustFab.com. Obviously out for your money, and nothing else. Extremely shady, and disgusting business practices. Get a clue, guys.

About:
We imagine that giving up gossip magazines and celebrity blogs is similar to trying to quit smoking (wouldn’t know for sure, we’ve never tried the latter). While avoiding newsstands is easy, we continue to struggle. It seems that completely kicking the web sites is more difficult than originally anticipated. After morning upon morning of our own neurotic, internal struggles at the laptop, we realized that we were primarily logging on to see what everyone was wearing the night before. We thought to ourselves: Selves, there should be a more convenient and reverential way to find out this information, no? After discussing this with our closest friends – obviously – we realized that WhoWhatWear.com would be a perfect contribution to society. Because after all, “We don’t care who you date or if you eat. We only care about what you are wearing.”
Complaint #1 JustFab sucks and I got ripped off
I bought a pair of boots from JustFab.com. A month later, my credit card was charged another $39.99. I called customer service to find out for the charge.
I thought I was just authorizing one purchase.
JustFab.com should clearly present the conditions. I hate this kind of scam.

I Just Recently Purchased 2 pair of shoes…..I HAVE READ AND REREAD The terms and conditions And I am totally Okay with them!! However.. If I had A website like this….I wouldnt post that $40 Charge in fine print, it would b just as visible as the BUY ONE GET ONE HALF OFF!!!!! Thats posted So BIG!! That u wont miss it ijs!…. I have to say their a lil slimy for that one.. Knowing that few people read the fine print.. As u can see!!!.. My main concern is people complaining of the low quality of the shoe…. I have not recieved my shoes yet.. But i’d be so disappointed if they come to me lookin as if they were purchased out of walmart.. When they look amazing online!!.. I Am not Biased.. Kimora All I want are some fly kickz!! # My shoe game is soo sick.. If u dont believe me check my facebook pics…. Jessie Curtis is the name
Okay guys, seriously? This is making me so angry. JustFab does not have a monthly fee. Every month they send you new options of shoes and bags. You have 5 days starting the 1st of every month to go in and click “skip this month.” IT IS NOT A SCAM. If you are too damn lazy to read up on why they want your billing information, then it is your fault. Stop bitching over something that is specifically in their guidelines. It was not just sent out in a brochure, it was the website right when you sign up! It states that if you do not skip the month, you will be charged. If you are stupid enough to put your billing information out there and not read up on what you are doing, I feel sorry for you. No duh customer service does not act surprised when you idiots call in complaining about your account being charged…you are just another dumb ass they have to deal with. Have you tried working in a call center before? Its complete bull shit and annoying to have to speak to idiots all day long. Anyways, off my soap box. Read up on what you are signing up for from now on. Hopefully you’ve learned a lesson by justfab.
So a long long time ago I signed up for Shoe Dazzle which is just the earlier version of Just Fabulous. Check out the websites you’ll see they are vertically the same, charges etc …. its all the same. I never purchased anything because a friend I invited did buy some things and then she told me she got charged evey month. There was nothing in their initial information saying it was a VIP sho-buying club and you’d get charged.
But then, I got invited to JustFab.com and I am tempted to buy. I know the reasons behind the VIP portion. I read about it in the information. I also read how you can get around the charges, by skipping. I was ready to make a purchase but thought I’d check out Show Dazzle one more time and well, they have changed their POLICY. They are no longer insisting on a VIP charge, nor do you need to SKIP each month. Read about it here ….
shoedazzle.com/learn_more
If justfab.com are reading this post, you should seriously consider doing what Show Dazzle has done. Its the right and honest thing to do. I’ll be taking my business to Shoe Dazzle and you’ll be losing my sales … and I would have potentially bought one or two pairs of shoes a month from you, at least, now the sales will go to Shoe Dazzle instead. I don’t want the unecessary or needless headache of dealing with your customer service when YOU screw up!
Good luck!
How are there so many dumb people on here they don’t know how to read???? It is baffling!!! The website CLEARLY states that if you do not chose to opt out that month that they will then charge you the $39.95 that then can be applied to a future purchase? I bought my first pair for half off on the fourth. That same day I was e-mailed my options for March. I went to the website the next day on the 5th to opt out so they would not charge me. I got my shoes Yesterday and have only been charged the $19.95. You cannot blame the company for your lack of intelligence. The only people you have to blame is yourselves. How are they scamming you when everything is clearly spelled out???
Yes! THANK YOU! These people are so damn stupid!
I order two pair of shoes in the early part of Dec.2011. Like some people no i didn’t read the terms and conditions. At the end of Dec. I was going on line to check the site out to maybe make another buy when i came across this website and saw all the warnings. I then went back and read the terms and conditions and said” OH HELL NAH”!!!! So i called to cancel my membership and was told that it would be cancel. Now mind you it was before the 1st and 5th so i shouldn’t be charge anything. And since now i didn’t trust them because of what i read on the site i got a new bank card plus skip the month just in case. So i did all that and now its March and i check my bank account today and they took the 39.99 out. I’m beyond pissed right now! i called my bank early this morning and ask how could this happen!!!! They told me if they have a old card on file and if its a recurrent charge that the credit card company(VISA) will give them the new card number. OH HELL NAH OK WTF!!!!! So my bank tried to call them with me on the phone but they were close so we will have to call back in a few hours. The bank put a stop to any future payment but somthing tell me i not going to get my money back. And on top of that they overdrawn my bank account. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS SITE unless you have no problem with them taking your money!
I called today after seeing “39.95″ pending from my bank account and the FIRST representative I talked to told me she couldn’t refund my money, so I told her to CANCEL my account. I call my bank, informing this is an unauthorized charge and they said to call back once the charge goes through. The same thing happened to TWO of my friends, and they both got refunded their money. So I called again and the next lady I talked to was willing to refund my money, but couldn’t since my account was cancelled. She said since I plan on filing a claim with my bank, that I will get the money refunding back. If only the first girl I talked to was as NICE as her. Calling my bank in the morning to get this all sorted out. As long as I get my money back, I’ll be happy.
All,
What I’m about to say is part experience, part law background, and speculation.
It is entirely possible that the “fake” posters here are telling the truth. It’s called CYA. A complaint is filed with BBB so the organization moves as fast as possible to add in the key factor of recurring payments to the terms of agreement. If really cunning, they will make sure it’s couched in legalese, hard to understand, and isnt highly noticeable. Hence, when the BBB looks into your complaint it will seem logical that you just missed that clause.
Understand, I’m just showing you what happens sometimes…never been to this site. So, after they’ve done this and more time, complaints accumulate – they’re afraid of consequences and will make the disputed charge clear to the consumer. But they may leave other extra charges couched in terms that deliberately mislead you. And be aware – Significant spaces in “terms of agreement” should be highlighted w/your mouse. If the font color is the same as the background color – you can’t see the text. Good trick for scammers.
My experience was a trial software (I do this all the time) with a 24hr $1 charge and a $7.95/monthly fee if you don’t cancel within 24. THERE WAS NO WAY TO CANCEL. So I cxld my cc instead.
FYI- PayPal notifies you immediately of an agreement to recurring payments. 1 minute & you have an email that you respond to saying NO authorization. Banks are different. If someone has your debit card info, your bank assumes you have ore-authorized that merchant. Notification in writing, in person, notarized=the merchant is authorized from here until your card no longer works.
At least that’s wells Fargo.
Be careful out there and if you can set up alerts for recurring charges, merchant authorizations, and specialty payment systems you’ll save yourself a headache or two. Hope this helps.
wow, you all need to read the conditions before buying anything. PERIOD!
JustFab is definitely a scam. Shady customer service, horrible terms and conditions, dissatisfied customers… how bad of a business can you get? Kimora LEe Simmons I used to admire you, now I just think you’re a shady ‘business’ woman ripping off not only designers, but us lowly shoe lovers whose only sin was wanting to look glamorous (albeit in badly crafted heels). Give me my money back.
I have ordered from Justfab 3 times and have received 4 pairs of shoes. When you order anything off line you have to read the fine print and bold print. That’s common since. I have no problem going to their website every month and hitting skip this month and saying why. It take like one minute. It’s not a big deal like everyone is making it out to be. I do not work for the company I am a housewife and I love the website. I never ordered from shoedazzle but I know it’s ran by Kimora also so I have no comment on that. If you read everything you wouldn’t have this problem.
Wow. Who really goes to review websites and harasses people complaining about deceptive business practices? JustFab runs a deceptive and misleading advertising campaign, PERIOD. They make it appear like it is a free monthly email of the latest fashion trends that you can buy on demand. Never at any point in my transaction with them did it state clearly that by making a purchase I was authorizing a monthly $39.95 subscription that I was required to manually opt-out of once a month. Who runs that kind of business these days?? Oh, that’s right, someone who’s trying to take you for all you’re worth and then some. This company has over 185 disputes with the BBB and countless complaints elsewhere. Everywhere a complaint shows up the company is creepily nearby with “stock” responses trying to cover their ass and shift blame on the consumer. A consumer has a right to have UPFRONT and honest dealings with companies and that is in direct opposition with how JF does business. I will join up with anyone who is interested in a class action lawsuit. I would gladly drop such a lawsuit IF THE COMPANY WOULD STOP WRITING STOCK RESPONSES TO ALL THESE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS AND JUST PUT A SCRIPT PROMPT IN THEIR CHECKOUT THAT THE BUYER IS AGREEING TO MONTHLY PAID SUBSCRIPTION AND THAT $39.95 *WILL* BE TAKEN OUT OF THEIR ACCOUNT UNLESS THEY TAKE ACTION. Burying that information on obscure tabs of the website or several paragraphs into T&C without highlighting and bolding it, and claiming that following up with emails or receipts is enough is absolutely a deceptive practice. I have no doubt they would suffer tremendously in court if it ever got to that.
JUST read all terms, they had right to charge, you agreed.
It’s not deceptive you and every one else complaining just do not know how to read.
Apparently you work for justfab…get some manners and learn how to talk to a lady. All these ladies can’t be wrong. This is a ladies website…so find something else to do!
I absolutely love this website they even have a sale this month 2 for 39.95 I’ve only been on the website a month but when I signed up I learned to read the terms an condition bcuz redbox had screwed me over before it clearly states that if by the 5th of each month u can choose to skip that month an ur account won’t be charged… I admit they take a lil long to first ship but shit I can’t complain their shipping it for FREE! I have already purchased 5 pairs if u think im fake or I work for them fb me I put pics of my shoes up
gigiclass_08@yahoo.com
They ripped me off too! i feel for the if you buy now you get your first order half off. its a bunch of god damn bullshit. i bought these a month ago. i really got them. but they fucking double charged me!!!! it’s 6 am but im going to find a way to get to them by this afternoon. im gonna wring some fucking necks if i can get to them
I was going to sign up for this until I read the Terms and Conditions, which set off a red flag in my head. I’d rather drop a couple hundred dollars on an amazing pair of shoes and NOT have to deal with any headaches. It sounds like you have anger issues, as well as literacy issues. All you have to do is UNDERSTAND what you are signing up for. Clearly you did not. That’s nobody’s fault but your own. Do you pay attention to anything you sign up for, or do you just sign up for things that sound nice?
Believe it or not, I really don’t work for justfab. If you have a suggestion of how I should prove this to you to not be called a fake, feel free. I’m a VIP member since last month. Seeing as how justfab works just like the other mentioned 39.95 shoe sites, I was aware of the 39.95/month..however I think it is shit that I can’t use my credit (that I ‘purchased’ by not making a selection within the first 10 days of the month) on sale items. I think that its crap that I am restricted to only one product from the site for 39.95. Hmm…enough people don’t even miss the 39.95 so justfab makes so much profit anyways that it’d be really freaking NICE if those of us who DO notice could use our money however we choose. I loved my first pair and I am sure I will be pleased with my second pair when I can actually redeem my credit next month. But I will be cancelling after that.
Hope this reply appears in the right place. I just came from the jf.com site and from careful reading I knew all the terms that have been referred to here. I don’t like to join anything that has an automatic repeating obligation so I chose not to sign up, but I have to agree with the writer who said the terms are clearly spelled out, including that it’s a once-a-month “club” and how to skip-a-month. As for the quality of products and customer service, I obviously cannot speak to that.
However, ladies please! You make us all look bad when you complain about missing info that I found easily. Always read everything you can bfore signing on to anything! It’s called “DUE DILIGENCE.”
So you have 39.95 to just give away? send it my way!!!! thats right your not going to… that is a lot of money to just throw away you stupid pos… you shouldnt have to read terms and conditions specially if you are ordering something you kinda trust that they arent going to charge your account every fricken month, who the hell orders a pair of shoes every month anyways thats just stupid!
justfab.com and shoedazzle.com are both basically the same large-scale shady businesses! I have been going overdraft for months and finally today I notice it has been because being charged monthly for a service fee I never was made aware of… I am a web designer and you are not supposed to trick people into thinking something is free when in actuality it is not! HORRIBLE. I am calling my bank tomorrow and then reporting to the BBB if I do not receive all of my money back! BELIEVE IT.
Three letters BBB..
Im not going to get.in my situation about this dum ass scamming ass company.. To all ur dummies talkn shit bout u need to read The terms and conditions…No u need to STFU.. The shit is stupid.. Who continues to.charge someone after.they cancelled The membership??? better yet I never purchased not.one.pair…
BBB
BBB
what? You shouldn’t of given your credit card information if you haven’t purchased yet…think you are full of it.
Yes, this is a scam. You have to have ‘credits’ taken from your bank account, but cannot use them to purchase any sale items. What? i have to pay another $39.95 to be able to purchase sale items??? So basically, keep paying, we’ll always have your money…call customer service, you won’t get anywhere because WE don’t care here at Just Fabulous. We want money for cheap shoes. I know we all need a job, but how can you work for a company that is a scam and sleep at night or look yourself in the mirror. Are you that stupid or do they just hire scam artists only??
This is the worst company EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! Don’t do business with them.
I bought a pair of shoes from justfab in sept of 2011 and just found out today as of 1/18 that this website has been charging my account 39.95 without my knowledge. Im glad that i called my bank and they ended up calling justfab with me on threeway and also i only got reimbursed for one of the months that justfab took away from me. I also cancelled my membership and my bank gave me all my money back since i am not going to use the credits and lost out on my money. I think justfab are a scheming business company that trick you. Smh damn shame
I think if all of you that think you were scammed would have read the TERMS and CONDITIONS that you agreed to when you got your awesomely priced first purchase, you would have known what you were agreeing to. The information is right there on the website and you did not read it….and you are calling it a scam. A scam would be not tell you the information or what you are to expect. Take my advise! When you are giving out your credit card information and you are asked to agree to TERMS AND CONDITIONS, READ THEM! OR stick to shopping at Walmart for your great bargains.
First of all I been a mbr with Justfab for quite sometime and if you are going to be putting up any of your info onto the internet you BETTER read the Terms and Conditions if you want to be safe, No one can blame the company blame yourself for not being smart and reading, I read made my purchase and fell in love with how it works its a option girls your never obligated. You you guys are ridiculous blaming other for your mistake. # Just saying ;]
if you order something from a site (clothing and shoe wise) would you expect to pay a membership fee? Be real. What website does that? Please name me five. IJS
haha you chicks are funny it clearly states everything in the TERMS AND CONDITIONS! Your life must be boring talking about 39.95 haha.
I’ll name you five: shoedazzle, justfab, sole society, shoemint, beautymint, jewelmint…oh oops…thats six. want me to keep going? it’s not the company’s fault you didnt read before click I Agree
By the way I’m not a fake typing this all to you ladies nor am I gettin paid for it. I jus feel some ppl should know the flip.side.of.what’s goin on. I knew what I signed up for before I did but like I said the shoes are fabulous & my heel game is always on point:):) if you wanna try somewhere else try Gojane.com they have a variety of all kinds of trendy styles as well with reasonable prices or zappos. I feel you just gotta find something that’s best for yourself. Shoot I researched over & over to find shoes that best fit my personality & style & I feel at home lol if I’m shopping online I’m gonna find the best deal & get my money worth without feeling ripped off. I love the company hands down..not all their shoes are cute to me but I do find the ones that do! Much love always:):)
From personal experience justfab.com has been great for me. I love almost all the shoes & I don’t have an issue. I’ve been with them for 6months now. Yes I purchase shoes or and a bag every month but its worth it to me considering the fact that you can’t really find great prices like this with free shipping anywhere. I mean think about it ladies your just paying for the shoes. Shoes like this you have to spend twice as much plus shipping. Kinda like Victorias secret..don’t get me wrong I love Victorias secret but there is no way I’m gonna fork over 80-200 for one pair of shoes plus shipping! Idts! That’s outrageous but if you got it to spend then do your thing by all means. I have compared & researched for months justfabs shoes with Victorias secret shoes & believe it or not the in-season shoes are on justfab jus like in vicki secrets catalogs. Now I’m not saying they’re copying but they’re helping (in a way) us mothers, college students, & ppl who work stay divalicious & trendy:) There are snakes that work in shipping facilities that steal ppls products but once its shipped out its the shippers responsibility for there employees in my opinion. If you wanna sign up for justfab then do it, don’t rely on someone else’s opinion. I get compliments on my heel game wherever I go & I love my shoes:) take care!:)
Was considering joining until I read the fake customer reviews about knowing and reading the terms. who reads a tos?? i doubt the owners of justfab have ever read it versus having an attorney explain it to them. lol?
next time, respond to your reviews with manager direct email or phone.
show concern for your dissatisifed customers not contempt for not reading something no one ever does, including yourselves.
-from one business owner to another
Why does the company fail to tell people up front what the main deal in purchasing with them involve. Why should I as a customer have to read about my financial information being held hostage and billed monthly in a standard terms and conditions page. Do you really think that if they wrote Buying from this site means we own your house, car and property that they could hold up their stupid terms and conditions paper in court. Its only a matter of time before they are investigated and sued. THIS IS AMERICA. Let them continue…I want to see for how long they think they can keep getting away with this. Just because Kimonra is a Z list celeb does not entitle her to run an obvious con. If the business was legit not SO many people would be feeling cheated. They will get theirs!
they do you you just cant read apparently
you are apparently a fake poster covering up for this horrible damn shady business! Get a life. shoe dazzle.com and justfab.com BOTH SHADY HORRIBLE BUSINESSES
Wow, everyone that has common sense enough to know how to read terms and conditions before sigining up must all work for this company? How dumb can you be to hand over your personal information before knowing what your are signing up for. Reading is a fundemtal skill that you and most people on this site obviously lack. b
I have received one pair of shoes with no problem, I did not opt out in time for my December selections so I was charged the $40, however, its a store credit, they are not just stealing your $, you signed up & agreed to the terms. You have the option of opting out. So now using my credit I’m anxiously awaiting my new treat in the mail. If your gonna send someone to BBB, at least make sure you’ve covered your part by reading ALL fine print before clicking ok.
I smell class action lawsuit. The consumer is made aware of hidden monthy membership fee unless they actually click on the link that says, “i agree to the terms” blah blah blah. Who reads the terms when they buy a pair of shoes? The website screams free to signup. I felt I was being given a membership in order for all the feedback I gave them on my likes and dislikes – they can market that information. I am sure this practice is ilegal. The consumer must be informed of all fees and clearly their monthy fee is hidden on the website. I will be contacting my state attorney.
it’s also on every order slip you recieve, as well as your order and shipping confirmations. unless you legitimately don’t know how to read, there is no excuse.
I signed up for JustFab.com retail sight at the end of september. I made 2 purchases equaling out to approximately $60 total. While becoming a member, never once was it made aware to me that they, as a business, require for me, the consumer, to spend $40 a month on objects or else my card would be charged $40 regardless. Nor did they make me aware that not only would they take money out of my account but my hard earned money would become a less depreciated value on their online fraudulent retail site as a “reward point”. I was made aware of their sham by online articles about the company, and surely enough, I was a victim. When trying to cancel my membership, customer service was anything but servicing. Eacg customer service representative were trying to convince me to leave my account open by refusing to close it. Then the representative would get extremely rude and hang up on my face. One representative told me my account was closed but refused to give me my money back or give me the confirmation code of my account being closed. Sure enough, my account has not been closed! I’ve called coporate, to inform them of this matter and received no phone call back. I’m a full time student, with no full time job, depending on my own finances. Between gas, part time job, full time school, and bills, I can’t afford to be throwing away my money monthly. I just want my account closed and my $80 refunded!
who would buy a pair of shoes every month anyways?
I feel that Just Fab’s practices are VERY shady! And actually yes there are hidden fees. Any normal consumer will not want to sit there and read five minutes of terms and conditions to realize that if you don’t pay attention every month and “opt out” you will be charged a 39 dollar credit! No the everyday consumer is looking at this site as if it were any other website which sells a product, they want their purchase without someone stealing their debit/credit card number and making unauthorized purchases. If you notice too, they purposely try to hide the fact they will charge you a monthly fee of 39 dollars. Section 3 under ‘send me new options’ at the end of that paragraph it FINALLY states something about your card being billed! But like i said before just as I did, I didn’t even get to look at this whole selection till after i was billed 79.00 dollars for two months. I just wanted my first initial purchase, i don’t usually sit and obsesses over retail websites wanting to read their fine print and waiting to hit the skip this month option, when i didn’t even know what the fuck it was(i thought it was a subscription option, or the new stylist shoes they pick for you). Its funny they don’t give you the option to skip every month. They are just WAITING like sneaky bastards for you to forget to hit that button and get that money. I hope consumers on this website is looking to spend an average yearly cost of 470 dollars on shoes! Because oh they will get their money somehow, because well they can! They’re fucking greedy!
I just signed up with JUSTFAB.com and was completely aware of the VIP membership when I purchased my first pair of shoes. Whenever shoes are all the same price it generally means its a monthly membership program, which gave the signal to read the terms and conditions before buying. It read:
1. ‘Send Me Styles.’ Select an item by the 5th day of the month and we will ship it to you for free. If you choose to purchase more than one item, you may do so at a price of $39.95 each.
2. ‘Send Me New Options’. If you are not satisfied with your selections, you may select the ‘Send Me New Options’ button by the 5th day of the month and our experts will send you a new Boutique selection of shoes, handbags and/or fashion accessories within five (5) business days (“New Selection”). You will have five (5) additional days from the receipt of the email displaying your new options to select an item for purchase or select the “Skip This Month” option as described below before your credit card is billed $39.95 and you are given one JustFab credit that can be redeemed for the purchase of one JustFabulous item in any future month. Each credit is valid for one (1) year so long as you remain a VIP member.
3. ‘Skip This Month’. There is no obligation to select and buy an item each month. Should you decide not to select an item for any given month, simply select the ‘Skip This Month’ option by the 5th day of the month (or the 5th day following receipt of your new options as described above) and you will not be charged that month. If you do not make a selection or select the ‘Skip This Month’ option by the 5th day of the month (or the 5th day following receipt of your new options as described above), you will be charged $39.95 and given one JustFab credit that can be redeemed for the purchase of one JustFabulous item in any future month. Each credit is valid for one (1) year so long as you remain a VIP member. Even if you have decided to ‘Skip This Month’, you may return to your Boutique at any time thereafter to make a selection.
You may cancel your Account at any time. If you wish to cancel your Account, simply call our Fashion Consultants at (866) 337-0906 Mon-Fri 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM PST. There is no additional cancellation fee. Please be advised that an account may only be canceled by the registered VIP member and you will lose any credits in your account should you cancel your account prior to redeeming those credits.
Thus, your credit card will not be charged the membership fee if you choose the “skip this month option” before the 5th day deadline. I have done this and have not had any problems. You MUST read the terms and conditions before agreeing to them!
It does not matter how many trolls the company sends to post fake reviews defending their practices. If their stupid shady lawyers are giving them advise about posting reviews by people who were completely aware they are going to be in for the shock of their lives because 2012 will not end without a massive public backlash on these swindlers. Charging me 1 full year of nearly $500 worth of charges that is the equivalent of a very beautiful pair of Chritian Louboutins for Ms Kimora to adorn her feet with my money while I am left $500 poorer and no shoes!!! What kind of nonsense is that. Hell hath no fury! You are going to pay Just Fab, you are going to pay real good!
EVERY SINGLE REVIEW ON HERE OF SOMEONE SAYING THAT THEY KNEW ABOUT THE DAMN MEMBERSHIP FEES ETC. IS FAKE… WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! HORRIBLE AND SHADY BUSINESS … SHOEDAZZLE.COM AS WELL AS JUSTFAB.COM ARE BOTH THE SAME SCHEME! LARGE SCALE FRUAD. WHAT A JOKE! STOP POSTING FAKE GOOD REVIEWS GUYS SERIOUSLY. I have gone overdraft in my account multiple times before finding out TODAY that I have been getting charged for NOTHING.
I’ve been a member of JustFab for awhile, and you DO AGREE when you accept the terms and conditions before you checkout. It’s not hidden. Just take the time to read what you are committing to. The shoes I’ve gotten are great and when I do have an issue, they are quick to solve it. Plus, they send you emails AND the letter with your first order detailing the commitment. Don’t complain just because you didn’t bother to read.
It is hidden LIAR! You don’t find out until they have charged you for a few good months. Go away!
No need to be so aggressive! Geez!
You won’t believe me either, but I am a just fab customer also, not a paid representative. The first time I got charged the 39.95 when I didn’t order anything, I was pissed and called customer service. She explained the whole process, and while still pissed that I was out 39.95, I was big enough to accept my share of blame. It was in the terms and conditions, and furthermore a sheet detailing how just fab works was included in the shoebox of the first pair of shoes I bought. I didn’t read the terms and conditions, but that’s my fault. You have to be careful when using your credit card online. I did however use the credit I had to order a pair of really nice shoes. They send you emails every month reminding you to check your boutique and either make a selection or ‘skip this month’. It’s almost idiot-proof. I never had an experience trying to close my account (as yet, I’m thinking about doing just that sometime this year), so I cannot comment on that aspect of customer service.
I don’t know so why many people are complaining. I’ve only purchased one item from justfab.com and after a few days I asked if I could cancel my membership and they agreed to it. They provided me a cancel number and they said that even though my membership is cancelled, I will still get my purchased item. It’s been 2 months and I’m still using the bag and there’s no type of problems and never heard from them again.
I did read the letter that came with my shoes. It says nothing about a monthly membership fee. And I really don’t know too many people who read the terms of buying shoes.
They are sending their staff members to defend them online because so many people are angry and complaining about them but they will not prevail. American people are not stupid but we are tired of stinking rich, filthy rich people swimming in money they make at the expense of the little guy. This is so wrong and their business model sucks. It shows not respect for the customer. An arrogant stupid business represented by an arrogant stupid woman with a big arrogant greedy head.
I’ve been a member for awhile now and Ive never had any problems with this company. Returns have been easy as well as exchanges and Ive gotten great customer service. Maybe you guys should read all of the rules before just blindly clicking “ok”. All the info is right there regarding the fee. It’s hardly the company’s fault if you don’t do your homework.
i just ordered a pair and recieved them today. they sent me my dec picks on the 28th,am i getting charged 39.95 if i dont pick a pair from my december boutique today?
That is right Aisha either you pick one of their cheap ugly made in China for $3 shoes or you forfeit your $39.99 every single month. Either way, every month you lose. Just try cancelling your membership and see what hell they give. Cancellation process is a nightmare and designed to delay the process until the next billing cycle.
You have the option to “skip this month” and you won’t be charged, open your eyes people. You’ve all become so lazy and complacent in your lives that you assume everything should be handed to you. Everything you need to know is on the front page, and to be honest, if you sign up for something without reading the terms and agreements, that’s your bad. What’s that you say? It should be more obvious where to find the terms and conditions? How about the button that says “TERMS & CONDITIONS” or I dunno, the FAQs. If you’re so concerned about your money, maybe you should do a little more invbestigating into what you’re spending your money on. All complaints in here about this being a shady business should come with the tag “I was too dumb to read about what I was doing, and now I’m mad about it, someone pity me now!”
BLah Blah Blah Stop posting fake good reviews. justfab.com and shoe dazzle.com are both the same SHADY SCAM A$$ Site DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!
I just reported them to the Better Business Bureau and I hope you all do the same. Maybe if they get enough complaints that the site will refund the money or be shut down. I was charged money as well without being able to refuse.
Apparently they paid BBB for an accreditation and have received an A rating despite having 171 complaints filed with the BBB. Take it to your social networks, you can warn people better there.
I first want to thank you all for the warnings. I just placed an order yesterday. I should have read these reviews first because I wouldn’t have ordered anything from them. Hopefully they get the point not to screw with peoples money but if not, maybe we all should look into a class action lawsuit against them…..
Unfortunately I did not see this review before I purchased from JustFab.com I received my stuff but like another consumer I was unaware of this automatic membership fee. They did not want to refund it, stating that they could not even after I said to them that I was reading complaints from the Better Business Bureau where they did give refunds. I finally went to my bank I filed a dispute, and my bank and I called JustFab to get it resolved. Little did I know that once you file the dispute they black list your account and take away the store credit so now I have no store credit and I am working with my back to try and get my money bank. Please avoid this hassle and headache stay away. Its better to go to other shoe websites and buys shoes when they have coupon offers than dealing with this.
I was a member of the site, you can go to any ten dollar store and get the same shoes or in the mall at a no name store. they took money from my card monthly i ultimately changed my card number. it’s a scam, and we’re ripped off for knock off shoes that make payless shoes look like Manolos
THANK YOU I was going to buy several pairs of shoes but saw your posting along with several others who WARNED.
THANK YOU for taking the time to post you are saving a lot of us a tremendous amount of trouble & $ all because someone else is EVIL, GREEDY and doesn’t have morals or parents!
ANYONE ELSE reading when you see a membership RUN!! It’s a red flag! No one with a good product or conscience has to force you into purchasing from them!! NOTHING GOOD EVER comes from a membership
Huge Scam! I never agreed to this VIP membership, they said I did when I purchased the shoes I bought. There was no letter in the box like they said telling me I joined by ordering. They charged 39.95 3 weeks after I ordered the shoes.I have contacted Good Day LA to investigate and do a story on this.A very good friend works there and she will lead it on air.
NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE WILL I ORDER FROM JUST FAB AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These people are horrible!!!! They charged my cared 3 time for 1 pair of shoes. It took the longest for me to get my money back thank to my bank! The people that work for this company are not friendly when you call and they play dumb. Listen to the article above! DONT DO IT!!!!! Yea they make the commercial sound soooooo good! NOT!!!
Thank for the review. I actually going to order from this websites today, but I am not going to order because of the review.
I was really excited to become a member however I don’t have money to waste. No longer interested goodluck kimora
Thanks for the review. I was actually gonna purchase something from them but now I WILL NOT, that’s too much if a hassle.
I’ve been w/justfab since December 2011, I’ve gotten 8 pairs of shoes and have a bag on the way (placed the order last night around 7pm et & received an email alert @ 6am this morning that my bag was shipped!):) I do have to say that I myself did not read all the terms & conditions… ooops! Not knowing I had the option to “SKIP THIS MONTH” I was charged $39.95, but, I’m not sure about you, I myself do mobile banking and am notified when activity occurs on my account… Called justfab right away and they where happy to refund my $39.95 + gave me 250 points (which 350 = a free pair of shoes!) and %25 off my next purchase!! Very happy w/the quality concidering the price!
yes missing out is right….. MISSING OUT ON HEADACHES AND BANK DISPUTES OT GET YOUR MONEY BACK FROM THESE SHADY SCAMMERS! JSUTFAB.COM and SHOEDAZZLE.cOM ARE HORRIBLE SHIESTERS!
I ordered bout 18 pair of shoes from just fab ..I read the opt out option n other than a messed up boutique I have no probe..sorry for others but it does tell u to opt out by the 5th.
