April 21,2012 checked bank online to see a pending charge from shoppersadvantage.com of $15.99. Called the bank to see what this was and let them know this was not approved and I didn’t even know this was happening. They researched to find that they have been taking this out since Jan. 2012 Charges Jan.23 2012 Feb 22, 2012 March 21, 2012 April 21,2012.
I called the 800-631-8141 # that was gien by the bank. It was a recording to press the * key to get a text message which I did not reply to or open at all.
I researched the phone # online to see several other people have had the same problem.

Now I had to cancel my debit card today. On a Sat. I am out of town and makes this extremely difficult for me to get money out of my bank (money that a actually worked for unlike the people just taking out of my account without approval! I have to go and fill a dispute at the bank against these people. And I have to do all this extra crap on line just in hopes this doesn’t happen to someone else. These people need to go to jail for doing this to people. And I want my MONEY BACK!

Well I had to go to the bank today & cancel my debit card & sign a dispute claim because of Shopper’s Advantage. I checked my bank account this morning, as I always do, to find a charge for $19.99 from a TLG *Shopper525*. I try not to use my account or card information online ever, because you really don’t know if the sites are safe or not. I called the bank when they opened to find out what to do about the charge & they gave me a number attached to the charge, 1-800-631-8141. I called the number to see what this charge was for & it was an automated message that said there was new information for the number & to push the star key, but if you push the star key you will be charged an additional $9.99 for 5 lookups a month. They didn’t even give a company name or have any way to talk to a representative. At lunch I went to the bank to ‘fix’ this problem & they found out that it was associated with Shopper’s Advantage & put a stop payment on the charge. So now I will be without a debit card for 1-2 weeks because companies are somehow getting away with scamming people out of their money. I’m a single parent without any government help or child support, so I have to be very careful where my money goes. & I definitely can’t afford to go shopping, especially online. This company should be ashamed of themselves & should have to pay back the money they take plus damages & inconveniences…

I had recently did a free trial period with these 2 companies, Great Fun and Shoppers Advantage. Well, about 2-3 wks later they called my cell phone wanting me to do a trial period. I was like I have already did the trial period. They said I hadn’t done it but if I had I could redo it. And that through Great Fun, I would receive a $40 Visa gift card and through Shoppers Advantage I would get $50 free that I could use on their website toward any company that was through them. So of course I’m like sure. Why not!! Who wouldn’t wanna do it for that. She was very nice. I wish I could remember what she said her name was, but I don’t.
So, I call Great Fun today and Shoppers Advantage to cancel my trial period cause I can’t afford them cause I may be fixing to lose my job. Well, they know nothing about it. Imagine that!!! I got scammed! It seemed very real and seemed like it was when I talked to them before. Makes me so mad! So I am going to cancel my card or course.
I hope they get this stopped before someone else gets scammed.
I have received no emails about it and nothing in the mail about it. That is one reason I ask about it today when I called them to see why I haven’t received my $40 Visa gift card and $50 in credit that can be used toward Shoppers Advantage.

Well I just cancelled all three of these memberships I was forced to accept just because I wanted to buy something off t.v. I hate it, everytime I want to order something you have all these other companies that want you to do free “TRIALS”. But we all know they aren’t really free trials. The lady on the phone kept saying you’ll get a free $100 gas vouchure if you do this trial, you’ll get a $40 credit card good for anywhere..the thing these freebies have in common are that you get it as long as you are a member at the time of processing and that takes 4-6 wks. What a ripoff!! As for shoppers advantage I recieved one sheet of paper and it did not have the phone number on it to cancel. I had to get online and look it up-1-800-327-7478. As for one of these companies; Great Fun, Shoppers Advantage,or Budget Savers had already had money pending in my account and my trial period still had two weeks remaining! BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE WHO GIVE YOU FALSE INFORMATION!!!
I checked my bank today to find a charge for 15.99 from TLG*shoppers5140. Called the bank to find out they have been taking this out since Jan. . It is now April. This is the first time it showed up on the the online banking report. But they had been taking it out from what the bank has noticed. That is over $60.00 of my hard erned money that was not approved to be taken out! I don’t even know who these people are! The bank gave me the 800-631-8141 # which was a crock when called. I had to cancel my card today (which, when you are out of town is very difficult to go to a bank on Sat. to withdraw monies). I have to go and fill out a dispute Tues. due to these jerks taking my money!!! I am highly pissed off first thing in the morning and this is not going to keep happening to people! It has got to come to a STOp and TODAY!
I also received the call from shoppers advantage, after purchasing Mircle socks from a tv add. I immediately called by credit company and was told by the agent that 3 dollars had already been charged by 3 companies one being shoppers advantage. The credit card company agent was well informed about this scam and immediately closed by account. The credit card will return my 3 dollars as loss protection, and asked me to file a police report, file a report with the attorney generals office, and the office of consumer affairs in the state where shoppers advantage is located. Miracle Socks along with other vendors dealing with these people should be boycotted.. join in .
As of this moment,my Bank acount and Debit card, are suppended. I’m 64 year old Disabled Vietnam Vet,living on a small Disb, pention. Last friday, the Froud Dept; at my Bank called and seid, my acount was charged $69.99, by a vitamin co.ExtaMax. Allso a Video Co.,just charged $49.99 to my acount, and asked, if I could verafy, thease charges! I replyed; NO WAY!! THose wher supose, to be FREE! For taking,an online survay! What a Ripoff! Don’t pay them! They replyed, that thay would look into it; But my acount would suspded, until thay completed ther investagation! So here I am no money and no food in the house! They called me today and asked to to say OK if I agreed to make a payment for $1 so that they could send me the documents for a $40 gas coupons.
I looked up their website as she was speaking and asked her if I could apply online and she said if I say OK now I would get $60.
The lady was very polite and so I told her politely NO! Then she kept asking me the same thing if I agree to say OK (the call was being recorded I guess).
Finally I got the impression that she was a broken record player and so I became one too and kept saying NO until she got tired and hung up.

My mom recently just called me and was wondering if I had purchased anything with her card. A charge showed up on her card for $20 as SHOPPERS ADVANTAGE. She does not remember doing a free trial or any phone call. She said that she has been trying to call them since they are open until eleven or something like that. She said that they won’t answer. Any tips? $20 does not seem like much to be missed but it is when you don’t have much money.
Oh no! I just received that phone call today and did exactly what johnnie did. I thought it sounded like a great deal and didn’t really have anything to lose. I guess I should remember the good ole saying…when it sounds too good to be true…it probably is.
Wow looking at all the reviews I’m surprised. I almost fell for it, this lady name Susan called my phone because I complete an online survey, very nice and helpful. But I was skeptical about giving my card over the phone as always. She assured me there would be no problmes so I need not to worry, that with such a major company Great Fun was they would never jeopardize the company with any false info. So she read me ths script again and while she was reading I went online and pulled up Great Fun and saw the word Complaints and I clicked on it. She said I can tell it’s safe and she read the script once more and told me to say OK if I accept, and I said OK and I kept reading the complaints and saw how people was scamed out of a gift and some was charged after they cancled. Susan then said I can hold on while you get you credit card and I kept reading and was about to pick up the phone and tell her NO THANK you I’ll pass and she hung up. If this was real she would hang up she would stay on the line for my business, this is why I only pay bills with my card and sometimes I worry about that. I can’t believe it. I was looking through my credit card statement, and guess what popped up…. TLC Shoppers for $19.99. I cant tell you how upset I am. As soon as I told the gentleman on the phone that I didn’t want the Gift cards and I didn’t want to try his company, and refused to call back the nubmber he had given me to activate the cards, they never sent me the cards and still charged my Credit card!!! Stupid me for giving them my information anyway, but I had no idea I have been paying them $19.99 for a year!!! I am livid!!! Who do these people think they are!

A similar thing happened to me and I am disgusted. For the last 18 months I have been charged $16.99 each month. I thought I had cancelled this immediately after they forced me to sign up. But, no.
Write them a letter and demand a FULL refund. That is what I am doing.
