#10: I am surprised to read all the negative comments about JJ’s House wedding and special occasions dresses
Luckily I read these after I had already ordered from them. I have ordered twice from them now and have had great experiences. The first time I ordered from them was for a bridesmaid dress. The dress came within a month and I could track it online. The neckline came up a bit high because I hadn’t given them custom measurements so I had to get it adjusted slightly. My mother, a seamstress with over 20 years experience, was really impressed with the quality of the dress.
Because of the neckline discrepancy, when I decided to order my wedding dress from them a few months later I gave them very specific measurements. I measured from my hollow to chest and bust size – two measurements that they don’t ask for, but are important, especially if you are petite. The dress arrived sooner than expected and fits like a glove.
Most of the negative comments on here are about refunds and exchanges. Fortunately I haven’t had to deal with that. I am simpathetic to your situation and hope they are held responsible for their actions.
For anyone thinking of ordering from them remember this:
1. These are designer inspired dresses. That means they use cheaper fabrics and jewels, but it doesn’t mean that the dress will not be nice. For example the designer wedding dress from which the JJs house version was inspired used swarsky crystals atc. and cost 3 times the price. The JJs house version used sequence and beads. But is still gorgeous if you are looking for a cheaper option.
2. Be as specific as possible. there is a place to put comments, use it. This way you are sure to have the dress fit as best as it can.
3. Remember that every country puts a tax on importing merchandise. JJs house has no control over this fee – but be aware so you won’t be surprised when the package arrives at your door.
I have no advice for refunds but remember that this is a Chinese company and therefore your country’s customer protection laws may not protect you from this international company. Be aware of this when ordering from them.

My custom gown dress was 3 inches too short, even too short with flats on! I was professionally measured and paid extra to have it made to my measurements. I’m only 5’1″ tall so I can not believe it fell above my ankles! It also took longer than expected for my dress to arrive. It came a few days before my event and left me scrambling to find something else.
When I contacted them to explain it was too short,, I was mortified when they asked me to send them a picture of it on me!!!
I had to open a pay pal dispute to get them to admit i deserved a refund. The dispute closed with them offering me a refund. I can not believe I have not been given the refund I was told I would be getting. Bad business! I was told on march 24, 2012 by Amanda He a refund was issued. I was then told by her on April 1, 2012 that it would be issued soon.
Crappy dresses, empty promises. Stay away from this company!!!
#8 JJs House Wedding dress
As promised I will tell you now the whole story regarding JJ´s House. It is only possible to write critics on JJshouse here on Reseller Ratings. Normally the delete the feedback and post own feedbacks. However, my case is very simple. I live in Germany. I ordered a dress but got the wrong dress. I complained. They told me I lie several times. I sent them the pics. They still said I lie until I sent the picture several times to the service line. They started to believe me. They told me to send the the dress back. I did so with mixed feelings because you will never know whether they will lie again.
I paid 208 € for the article which they agreed finally to refund. However, I have in addition a damage of Import duty of 26 € and the refund postage of 42 €. Although the return policy is saying that the refund the postage they even violate their own policy. By the way, the return policy violates German Civil Law and is therefore insofar invalid that consumer rights are violated.
I guess that you cannot expect more from Chinese Online start ups. A damage of 68 € is not a big sum. But we consider to go to court. In Germany we had a lot of similar cases decided in favour of the purchaser. It is a matter of principle to sue someone who is cheating the consumer. We gave them so many second chances. We are getting tired now. I am sure after we publish the court decision. There will be more people who would like to get a bit more justice in this world.

I ordered 2 dress from JJS House in October 2011. Dress 1 looks nothing like the picture but it is cute and being a trooper I tried it on. Nope to short(about 9in) Dress 2 I ordered a 14w. Snug fit. I emailed JJs House for an exchange or refund. No they said these dresses are “Custom Made” . Custom Made!! I used the drop down size selection! They Never asked me for measurements or to go get measured. Their suggestion was for me to take the dresses to a tailor. Okay so I did. The tailor said they could not help me with these “Stock” dresses and that the 2nd dress was unraveling!!! O my the was there is no 14w in the euro size chart JJs House and I emailed back and forth trying to get either and exchange or refund for Months. I have the dresses and I am out almost $300.
This is a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Company!!!
PS I couldn’t just return it. The package/label was in chinese. The packing slip had no address.

I purchased a dress from JJsHouse.com after reviewing the photos on the website. It took 30 days for me to receive my dress and upon opening the box, the dress was a cheap version of the photo I saw. It was dingy, extremely wrinkled, the color was a dull gray when it was suppose to be shiny silver color, and the embellishments were plastic and chips and dents. I was very displeased with the dress.
I contacted Customer Service to return the dress within 7 days of receipt. The dress has not been worn and still has the tags attached to them. To my surprise, I was told that I could not return the dress. After further correspondence from Hardy Zhao, I expressed that the dress did not look like the photo and sent a picture of the dress. I received in email in return stating that there were slight trial changes made to the original design which makes it look different from the website photo. In essence, they are not the designers of the dress, they make cheap replicas of designer dresses which is not stated on their website. JJsHouse falsely advertises designer dress and uses cheap materials to make dresses. The dress I received was not worth the money I paid for it. I’m very disappointed in the customer service, their return policy, and their product.

The dress’ fabric is of cheap quality and looks very different from the picture. The picture is a shimmery silver and the dress I received is a dull gray. I was very displeased and can’t get my money back. Now, I have to search for another dress.

My Fiance ordered a dress and it came within a couple of weeks (after paying expedited shipping) The dress arrived and did NOT match the color on the website. It says GOLD and its YELLOW! Also, just like others have complained on here the zipper only goes up halfway! She spent a week trying to get them to respond and then pulled the act that they’ll only refund 30% and won’t take the return. Nice to have a $100 item hanging in the closet that she can’t wear. The 30% promised (not done yet) credit won’t even cover the cost of getting the zipper fixed!

My daughter ordered a homecoming dress from jjshouse online, she read the return policy. My daughters dress arrived and the size was perfect except for the fact the zipper only goes halfway up and wont go any further.
The dress is a little big if anything, and I spent 10 min. trying to get the zipper to work. I followed all the instructions for return items and the email we got from jjshouse.com is that they need a picture, I emailed them the same day the dress arrived.
I have yet to hear anything else from jjshouse and this is very frustrating, I don’t have $130.00 to just throw away not to mention we had to go out the next day and get another dress. Warning do not purchase from JJ’S HOUSE because if something is wrong they will ignore you, and have not provided us with any return address. I tried calling the number and it wont let me through.

I was misled by this Chinese company’s “return” policy. JJ’s House say you can return if you contact them within 7 days, however the truth is they WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY RETURNS under any circumstances.
I have no recourse and this sucks. The dress JJ’s House sent was a total joke – looks nothing like the photo of the dress I ordered.
I hope someone else will not fall victim to JJs House’s SCAM.

JJ’s House (jjshouse.com) claims to be leading supplier of wedding gowns, etc. but quality is POOR and there is NO RETURN of merchandise allowed!
Buyer Beware! JJ’s House, aka Eveningdressessale.com (to view related claim click here), is a Foreign Company (China). Its website states “If you are unhappy with your purchase and need to return an item back to us for any reason, please contact us within 7 days upon receiving your package….” HOWEVER, if you read the entire website, under the sidebar heading “FAQs”, you will read “We have 7-day Free Return Policy in which any product can be returned without exception. However, if the item is not faulty or in accordance with your ordered size, please note that we will Not accept your returned item”. This “so-called” Return Policy is contradictory and deceptive. In other words, if you are not satisfied with the product, for whatever reason, this company will NOT refund your money.
Next time I order online, I will make sure the company is 1) in the U.S.A., 2) has a Return Policy regardless of reason for return, 3) does not require a PayPal account, which is used to convert money into foreign exchange, and 4) Reviews of products posted on the company website are both “positive” and “negative”. Any company website that posts only praises for its products is a Red Flag!

I want to let everyone out there know that jjhouse does not allow any returns and doesn’t send the proper product to you either. I ordered 4 bridesmaid dresses and none of them were the correct length and two of them did not fit when I sent them measurements along with the sizes because they make the dresses there. I contacted them numerous times about my concerns and they would write me back but not answer my questions or tell me that if I returned them that I would get the other ones sent to me. They told me in the last email I got that not everybody fits the dresses perfectly I should find a tailor to alter them. So I paid $400 for dresses that are too long and two of them that don’t fit and I have to go and pay more money to get them changed to what they should have been when they arrived. I will never order from them again and I will let everyone I know not to order from them.
One more complaint; the dress I ordered arrived late and it is not what shows online. Do not recommend shopping from jjhouse.com. I wish I had logged in to these alerts before buying dress.

I just received my dress from JJshouse before yesterday.
It’s horrible! Has nothing like the picture in the website. The day I received it I email them and they also asked for pictures of the dress to see what is wrong with it. Them I started to look for comments about JJshouse in the internet, and now I am sure that they wont take the dress back…
This company is full of crap and their policy return is NO return…
Try other websites from USA or Europe, NOT China!
NO, do not buy it as it will NOT look like the photo, I am a dressmaker who does many alterations to these dresses and they are absolutly awful, Im sorry to disapoint you but honestly, it is not worth loosing the money over, then potentially having to repurchase another dress.

I am totally shocked to read all these negative comments. I have ordered my wedding dress with them and it has turned out amazing! The quality was great and their communication throughout has been nothing but prompt and professional. I can only imagine that a lot of the complainers do not know what style suits them perfectly. Also, if you are unsure with the colors, order a swatch to be a 100% sure. Photos can be deceiving at times and ordering from a “catalogue” always bears some risk. Regarding the comments with them taking their money: all financial transactions are processed via paypal so they cannot just take your money and then not send anything. You are insured through paypal so it is all safe. I must assume that some of the bad commenets come from competitors. I will recommend them to all my friends and future brides.

The dress at the begining og this web page is the same dress that I ordered but in fuchsia. WOW it is lovely and the orange dress is just as good. I was worried for days after reading these messages. I hope my prom dress is fine. I didn’t know anything about this until now. This changes so much .
I also ordered the same silver dress mentioned above and was not happy with the quality or the fit. I tried to return it and they would not let me, so I will never purchase from this store. I also tried to write a review and give the dress 1 star. I just checked the website, and my review is gone! The only ones left are those with 5 stars from what seems to be people who have not yet ordered the dress. To reiterate what everyone has stated above: DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM JJ’S HOUSE! I totally regret placing the order and wasting $160 on a dress I will NEVER wear.
I had all five of my bridesmaid order a dress from jjs house. So far four the girl girls have received their dresses after a few weeks of ordering. Everyone had a problem. First dress was too long and way to big so she had to go spend a extra 78 in town to get it fixed,The other girls dress was to short, bust size was 10 inches to SMALL, next dress was to long (not the big of a deal), and the fourth dress has the completely different beading and is to small. Waiting for dress number five still. All the girl have proof that this is not their fault and what sizes they ordered. They will not give out their phone number or return address to anyone,will only contact you through email.They wont fix any of these dresses or refund any money! My wedding is in ONE month and they are messing everything up when the girls spent $133 on these dresses! I would NEVER tell anyone to buy anything from these people. Everything they say on their return policy is a life and they don’t care about anything but getting their money! I have sent a email as well as all the other girls, they wont help any of us. Sorry that uz have had a bad experience, i cant imagine the stress use must of incured. I personly didn’t have an issue, we bort 3 (1 only yesterday) the 2 we received are fine, they came quickly, even with the Xmas new year public holidays in Australia, for a $100 dress I am more then pleased with with the quality and they photo well, the fuschia colour we picked is very vibrant and true to its shade, no complaints here. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS STORE!!!! This store is a joke!!! So horrible!!! I have never written an online review before but I have never had to deal with a store like this one. I had to let others know so they did not order from this store!!! I ordered a dress for a ball I have to attend for work. The day I received the dress and took it out of the box, the quality was not what was displayed in the picture on their website. It was cheap and just did NOT look nice at all. I immediately followed all of their steps online to return it. Keep in mind I started this the day I received the dress, it was unworn and the tags were on it. I order a dress and it arrived and the quality was outstounding, however it was too small, and I ordered it a size larger as I intended to have it altered to fit. They do not honor their own return policies, and the measurement on the dress was not the size I ordered. Buy at your own risk.”
DO NOT ORDER FROM JJ HOUSE. I too ordered a dress and had to send numerous pictures of me in the dress, the dress itself etc. to attempt a return. Over a month of DAILY emails back and forth and they STILL would not return the dress. I took the dress to two different seamstresses, one couture design house and they all said the dress was horribly made and they could not make the alterations needed because of how it was sewed.
PLEASE DO NOT GO THROUGH THE STRESS AND AGGRAVATION I WENT THROUGH- DO NOT PARTONIZE THIS COMPANY.
I ordered 2 of the same wedding dress for my daughter (due to the limited amount of time to prepare) and felt safe in knowing I would be able to return the one that didn’t fit, since I had read the return policy. I purposely ordered a standard size 14 & 16 thinking that since they were not custom made they could restock one. But, due to their deceiving return policy I am now stuck with a brand new size 14 dress. Beware… there are NO RETURNS !!!

I went to the address listed in their contacts just a week ago and the (small) room belongs to a totally unrelated accounting firm.
Do not order anything from JJ’s house they are all full of crap. They steel your money and never send you anything. I had order a wedding dress and they took my money of my bank that same day I order it. They do that for u won’t cancel the order. I check to see my track order and it said my order was cancel from them. So now I can get my money back or I didn’t get my dress. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM JJ’s HOUSE. There policy sucks they don’t follow it at all. So that cost a lot of money order it from United States.
