Complaint #27: I’m sorry if my English is bad, but you guys must be aware of zbiddy.com.
By: Alias.
I’ve been on craigslist these days to look for an iPhone 4s. I’ve seen so many ads which had the prize was about $250 ~ $270 for each. I emailed one of those, and someone replied me with the message,
“Hi there
Someone just bought this from me, but I can tell you where I got it from.
I just got 4 of these from zbiddy.com and I resold them on here for some extra money. Not popular yet so theres like nobody online, so noone is placing bids, its like xmas again. Try to bid right when the counter hits 5 seconds and you win every time.
Regards.”
Yea I know it was too late once I registered on this website, and it was too late to take my $99 back. It happened to me last Saturday.
Tonight I looked up craigslist again, and saw many ads with the same titles. Again, emailed one of those (I used another email) and received exactly what I posted above.
Please be aware. I know when I was tired of seeking the phone, that kind of email was so awesome. I made a mistake. But I hope you don’t!!

Also there is nothing you would want to waste your time bidding on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just tried to start up with Zbiddy…I wish I had seen this site first. I dont know what to expect but I tried to enter my information and cc and it popped up with an error…it said it didnt take this kind of card and I should get another…should I start to panic now or just wait till tomorrow to call my bank?

I was visiting this site and wanted to find out how it worked. They asked for my credit card to get into the site. (Never should have done that) I was to the understanding that my card would not be used, unless I was actually going to use the site, I did not use it, I backed out and thought I erased everything.
I was looking thru my bank statement and there it was, a charge of $99.00!! I was irrate, so I called them and they said they could not refund the money! BUT, they would send me a resturant card or a gas card. I told them I did not want either one of those I just wanted my frick’n money back. There should be a law that they have to follow and quit screwing people over. So now I am forced to use this site! LESSON LEARNED!

Awful. The ad makes it sound like you can get a great deal but there is no way to ever win a bid. The same autobots are on the site bidding 24/7. I was only ripped off less than $20 but they are obviously scamming $$$$ from a lot of people. Buyer Beware.

I agree with everyone else. l signed up as a “Free Offer”, next thing I know I was charged $99.00!?! As I assumed I was locked in to this “Contract” I decided to give this “Auction” a try, but it turned out to be a complete joke! No real person even has a chance to win any price in their “Automated Auction”!!
Review #18 I want my initial payment back of 60.00 returned from ZBIDDY.com
By: BOBS MOM
I signed up for ZBIDDY through an internet promo, thinking that I would be able to bid on the items shown as christmas gifts for my sons. Then I went to register after the site took my money and then they wanted more. I had a hissy fit finding out that the registration fee was $60.00 but then to register u needed to pay a additional 159.95.
Where is the savings in that? I can buy retail for that amount of money. So stupid me just flushed $60.00 thru another internet scam.
I just hope it doesn’t cost another individual on a limited income, money.
Please ZBIDDY give me my $60.00 back so I can shop for my sons and grandson going forward into 2012.

I entered this site after receiving information about it. I just wanted to “look around” to see what goes on. I was interupted with a screen that said something to the effect to sign on, that it would not cost me anything. I did. It askd for my credit card # and I thought a bit about this request. I went on and gave it thinking they would use it if I decided to bid. I just got my credit card statement and Z-Biddy charged me $99.00 WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. I called them and they were rude, etc. I have called my credit card company, hopefully to interceed on my behalf. I am going to try contacting the Miami/Fl BBB.

ZBiddy is an internet scam. They don’t make it easy to login and there are problems with their bidding options. You attempt to register for the bidding buddy and it submits a single bid. There is no way you can win with the way they have the bidding mechanism set. This is a scam!!

Like everyone else here I got scammed By Zbiddy. They got my $99 before I realized what they were about. Didn’t bid on anything when I signed up. When I tried to get back into the site I had to sign in with my email address and a password.. I don’t remember creating a password with them, but okay I may have just forgotten, so I clicked the button on the sign in page that says “forgot password”. I entered my email address and clicked. The message told me my password was sent to my email address, but it was not. I tried again to recover my password and the same thing occurred. No password conformation was sent. I can’t afford this loss any more than anyone else here, but it looks like I don’t have a choice. I will be wiser next time.

Was refereed to zbiddy.com through Craigslist, in order to sign up you have to put in you cc info with i did, no where did it say i would be charged any thing, so i signed up no confirmation box to say any charges, no charge invoice, then i check my cc statement at the end of the month and there is a $99 charge on my account from zbiddy, i called them and asked for a refund said i was past the 7 days guarantee, then said that when i put in my cc info on the left there is bid packs which i did not see i think they are making this up cause on the site i was on there was nothing saying that i would be charged, Please investigate zbiddy.com and their practices and shut them down.

I never got to chose which bid package I wanted, I was immediately charged $99 upon entering my credit card information. I called the customer service dept. immediately. First I was told I would get a $49 refund (which was all “Steven” was authorized to do). I demanded his supervisor. ” Mark Gomez” then said he could refund me $74.25. I said there was an error/and or flaw with your website. I never got to chose anything…you people just charged my credit card $99. I never picked anything,. I asked that a copy of this “recorded” phone call be e-mailed to me, as I am in customer service, and know for a fact….that it can be done. He refused. I will be contacting the Florida Attorney general, the BBB, any and all website’s related to this fraud..and USAA…my credit card company. This isn’t right

I went to this website and decided to register to try it. the VERY FIRST PAGE where you put in your initial basic information such as Name, address, phone, they also ask you for a credit card number. It seemed reasonable enough to me, and I figured that it would be used AT MY DISCRETION NOT THEIRS for bidding on the site. Once I hit enter, however, I was charged $99!!!!! there was no confirmation, no second page, they just took my money! All I had in my account was $130, and it was for food and my electric bill. Well, Now I’m screwed because they took $99 of MY money. When I called them I was told they couldnt credit it back, they started trying to offer me more points saying “25 bids costs $50″ and acting like they were doing ME A FAVOR… SCAM< FRAUD, whatever you want to call it. ZBiddy just made the next week and a half of my life a living hell!

Just like most of the reviews about Zbiddy on here I was also scammed when signing up for an account they asked for my info name address card number I did not think twice because I just figured they needed it on file in case I won something next thing you know when I was in the bidding area I realized I had 260 bids I did not understand why they would give me that many bids for free then I started reviewing the cite and I happened upon the my biddy section in there I saw that for $99 I received 250 bids (I got 10 free for signing up) my heart sank I just wanted to sign up ……ouch I cannot afford this I have six kids to support how will I tell my other half…. Shame on you Zbiddy you need to be shut down and everyone who you scammed need to be paid back… Like that’s going to happen right? You probably employ the people who win… Oh and the bidding is ridiculous unless you have no life

On 1-14-12 I signed up for zbiddy on their Web site. When I gave all my information (incl. my VISA), I thought I was being asked for it in case I purchased something. It then said I would receive 25 free bids for registering . I had no idea my acct was going to be charged a $99 fee. When I signed it it said I had 275 bids. I have been on unemployment for over (2) two years. I did not even realize I was charged the fee until I received a statement from my bank acthat said I had overdrawn my acct. I never use this acct so for it to be overdrawn was alarming. To the best of my knowledge I did not authorize a bid or a $99.00 charge. I called zbiddy and they said well “You must not have read it, a lot of our customers don’t pay attention and are charged the $99″ I said I never authorized a 99 charge because I do not have money to waste. then they said well when you put in your card number you authorized us. I said “If i knew there was a 99 dollar charge I would not have registered.” I then asked where I could see this so called advertisemnet about the $99 and they couldn’t direct me where to go. SCAM!!!!! They refused to refund my money, but wanted to give me a restaurant .com certificate. What CRAP!!!!

Stay away from Zbiddy… it’s a complete rip-off. Very misleading about their whole buying bids & using them. You enter your credit card info, then they charge you $99. You get 250 bids. The bidding process is ridiculous, because they add time on each bid… back up to 13 seconds. It takes forever for auctions to finally end. If you think you’ll be able to win something normally expensive, like an iPad, for $30, you’ll be entirely disappointed. Nowadays, bids end at or near the retail prices anyways, so if you add the cost of the bids you used to win, you’ll end up paying more then in the store. I warn everyone I can to stay away from Zbiddy!!

On 1-1-12 I signed up on zbiddy on their Web site. When I gave all my information (incl. my VISA) I believe I was misled. They made me believe I was joining them. When I got to the final page, I see that they charged my VISA card $99.00. I was only signing in. I have been on unemployment for over (1) one year. I don’t get my check untill Wed. 1-1-12. This is going to overdraw my checking acct.To the best of my knowlege I did not ahthorize a bid or a $99.00 charge. I need swift action and do not want to hear from a million dollar Co. tell me I have to wait a week or two for my money.
I am very upset right now because of the situation. I need someone to go to bat for me. I really appreciate your concern and help. Diane Valentino-Marshall (702)271-6045

on dec 8 at 4:01am zbiddy claimed i purchased a “bid pack” for 99. from them. i did not.
i looked at the website to see what it was about and boom they say i purchased a bid pack. i don’t want a bid pack; i want my money back. i have written them and told them this – but they claim they are “busy”. they were not too busy to immediately charge my bank account for 99.
this is causing me a lot of stress – i just had surgery and would like to relax instead of having to deal with cheaters.

Nothing new here…same prob…wanted to check the site out; was asked for cc # and ASSUMED it was for if I bid and won as I had not purchased, was not offered to purchase and did not authorized a purchase! Low & behold 10 min later I get a text from my bank warning me of low balance; $99 was taken out of my acct by zbiddy.com! After spending over 45 minutes on the phone with zbiddy this morning arguing, we did settle for $75 replaced to my account as well as $125 dinner card and 256 free bids. I WILL NOT USE THESE BIDS, nor ever go on their site again; and doubtedly will use the dinner card, And although I MAY be getting $75 back…we will see…I will keep posted if not.
I reported ZBiddy.com to my bank after being fraudulently charged $99 for something I did not know I was buying: I thought I was just registering to have the ability to bid, I did not realize that I would be automatically charged $99 for registering alone. When I called they were uncooperative. I reported the $99 to my bank as fraud. My bank looked into the ZBiddy site and was able to unsubscribe and get my money back for me. The problem will now be, and please watch out for this; it is not easy to unsubscribe so you may have an automatic charge of $99 appear on your account every month. Who else can we report these people to?
I to ask for my 99 back good luck I will never use zbiddy
this company is fraudelent…on their charging and bidding
process…how can we shut them down or get a class action
suit against them?
I had the same experience as everybody else. I was trying to sign up and discovered I had bought $99 worth of bids without my knowledge. Again the thing with the supervisor and the 49.50 refund along with $100 coupons for restaurant or gas and I keep the bids. The gas coupons require mailing in a form to get a $10 certificate which you have to mail back with a receipt to get a check and the next $10 certificate. Certificates must be redeemed within 7 days of their issue date. A bunch of foolishness is what I say. They did credit my account the next day so I will give them that but I am going to continue to try to get the rest of my money back. They definitely need to be reported to any and all agencies that deal with scams and ripoffs!
I have been ripped off! Have talked to my credit card company & nothing they can do because I submitted info thinking it was for a future bid purchase, little did I know they were immediately charging me $99.00. They offered me $99.00 in credit which I refused & today I called & asked for my info to be removed from their website!
I only wish there was someway to fight this! They need to be put out of business, as they are crooked!!!
zbiddy i need my $99 back i will let all the media know about your scam and i will get a lawyer
zbiddy said sign up for free i was charged $99 from my credit card i need my money back there is no number to talk to anyone this is a scam i need my money back
It looks interesting enough to investigate.
Beware of this scamming company. I was linked with zbiddy immediately after responding to a craigs list email of which I had my apartment listed for rent. I cant believe I was this nieve. It asked me to register to look at site. I put in my information thinking i was just registering, provided credit card information thinking it was to be given to compnay should I choose to bid on their auction. I was immediately charged the 99.00 fee. I did not check any boxes or given any options to accept or reject. I have spent hours on the phone within 30 minutes of providing the information and they told me they would negotiate 1/2 the refund. In reading founder of companies letter, I could possibly be or will be charged 99 monthly. Im nervous.
Please beware there is a SCAM site caller Z-Biddy this site is a ripe off. When you register to use the site you are at the same time charged for Bid vouchers which will allow you to bid on items. Without you knowledge money is charged to your credit card. BUYER BEWARE —- Z-BIDDY IS A SCAM ——
I forgot how to get to zbiddy.com on my screen, but then I scanned thru first page, price is very good (too good to be true). I clicked register button to start my bidding, first page only ask for my name and email. That’s okay. Second page ask for my mailing address and credit card #. Hmmm, I haven’t bid anything yet and not sure if I want to buy anything just want to check out the site. I opened a new tab in my web browser, go to google.com and type in “zbiddy review”. OMG, thanks for all your comments. I did the right thing, I don’t want to be the next victim. So be careful out there people. Tips: shop only on well-known websites like amazon.com, bestbuy.com, sears.com……, or if you find a website that you never hear before then do yourself a favor, read review before you buy.
I was charged 99. dollars for something I do not know what from Zbiddy.com I have never bidden on anything there I want my money back.
Would like an answer. PLEASE HELP ME
Zbiddy is terrible charged me $99 after it said it was free to sign up i called and screamed and all they did was refund half of the money.
in my case it was 159 dollars and i have been on the phone for an hour and five mins. and have yet been able to talk to a superviser or the billing dept.i feel violated by scam artist, what a concept, they take 159 dollars just in case you might use the website to bid on something and refuse to refund the money
I do have similar problems this website. I did pay them $89.00 on May 17, 2011 and second time i pay them $60.00 on August 26, 2011 and never see any products that I can get. They do offer this and that or you can make a bid for this and for that at this price, but in reality they are getting your money from your credit card and you never see any benefits of that website. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM.
It even say free to join but it charge me $99.00.,,.:( please someone shut this stupid website down.,..:)
ZBIDDY sucks hell.,., they charge my account $99.00:( now my dad is mad at me by signing in this stupid website.,.:(
Don’t waste your money on this site it is a joke… You win a bid but the bidding stays open until zbiddy gets the minimum price they want… Zbiddy.com is a huge waste of money and time………
I got into the same trap. They asked for c card info , and I thought it was like paypal in ebay, but they charged $99. It took me a lot of hazel for them to refund all my money. They wanted to give me all kinds of deals; more bids, partial refund you named. No serious company treats customers like this. Forget it…!
If you did not authorize the charge on your credit card, then call your credit card company and tell them so. Your credit card company will issue a “chargeback” to the merchant. In this case, Zbiddy. They will require the merchant to prove that you aurthorized the transaction. If not, depending on the card, they will go to the merchant’s bank account…the one where they would normally deposit your payment, and instead, take the money out to refund to you. This is one reason why merchants are sometimes hesitant to accept credit card payments over the internet for large ticket items. Some fraudulent customers will buy large quantities of a product, and then deny they authorized the charge, and keep the goods.
Same thing happened to me . I was just trying to sign up and got charged $99 on my cc. It took me awhile to figure it out. I thought I received an introductory bid package till I started looking around the cite. I went into the my biddy section and my heart sank. I am afraid to tell my husband about my mistake. I tried bidding to make up for it. I was bidding all day to try to win something I went to bed empty handed. I still havn’t told him but the cc statement will be here soon
I joined Zbiddy on Dec. 28th and have already won over $2,000 worth of gift cards and merchandise. When I joined it clearly stated my credit card would be charged $99. It does take a lot of time, a certain amount of skill and a lot of luck but I’m having a blast. When buying bid voucher’s I have certain $$ I won’t go over depending on the # of bids. The only complaint I have is on their Chase Visa cards, I’ve won 2 that I have received and instead of Gift Cards I was sent Debit Cards that have administration fees and expiration dates. However all the gas cards, department store cards and merchandise has all been exactly as advertised on the bidding page.
The exact same 90 dollar thing happened to me, I called pretending that I had never heard of Zbiddy.com before, and eventually got my money back, the man behind the phone was Very polite. I ended up buying 5 bucks worth of bids because of his service. (Prolly what they wanted.) I went and bid on some magazine for .1 cent, to see if it works, I won it for the .1 cent too, but they said there was a TWELVE dollar service fee? Wtf? 12 dollars for a service charge? On a .1 cent bid? Wtf….
I’ve been reading these posts and getting madder by the minute. Ditto on everything.
I was lucky… I don’t know if it was a typo or I misread it, but it appeared that I was going to be charged $.99 (yes, a period in front of the 99 meaning 99 cents) for a 250 bid package. Upon looking at review sites, I saw MANY complaints about being charged $99 so I quickly called my credit card company and asked them to block/deny the charge. They did in fact confirm that I was charged $99 and immediately denied the charge… I called within 10 minutes of finding out so Zbiddy definitely works quick to charge your credit card. Luckily, my credit card company was quick to protect me as well.
i know better than to trust the news but the bait overpowered the fear of the hook…now i know why they would not accept my pre-paid debit for the lessor amount. hey hackers anonymous get busy. thank you all for the warning, your sacrifice saves others.
I joined this auction and spent 2 hrs trying to win something…it just went on and on and on. It’s worse than sitting in front of a slot machine and nowhere near the fun. They pur eBay down in their ads, but I’ll take eBay any day! At least their auctions have a real end time and you truly have a chance to get what you want. I’m chalking my money up to “live and learn”.
You just need to check in with the BBB…they will get your $99 back for you. It is a scam the way they take the money right after you enter the credit card.
Always BUYER beware… IF it sounds TOOOOO good, it probably is.:-)
This is such a ripoff. First you have to pay for a transaction fee for the bids you buy or win. If you are lucky enough to get a product, you have to pay a transaction fee and shipping and handling. It is not worth it. You get a $5 dollar Chilli’s gift card for, let’s say $1.25, then you have to pay a transaction fee of $2.00. So your savings on this bid is $1.75. I live on a fixed income and every penny counts.
I was having a live chat but was cut off. I am a slow tipper. I won a bid, the going staid on for over a minuet ( I timed it ). I keep on biding and the only bids that I can win is bids. I am being ripped off I keep on comparing. When it comes to Prizes
I am not allowed to win.
Zbiddy is the worst.. got screwed by them twice.. Never again will I use Zbiddy.com..
