Larry Chaney of Elite Estate Group puts consignors first before their auction, but afterwards you might not have such an easy time getting a hold of him! Does not answer calls, does not return calls, when pay day comes around, you might have to catch up with him and get angry to get paid. He also has a nasty habit of writing bad checks. He also has several bidder #’s and outbids others to keep from selling some of the good stuff and I am not even sure if he has an auctioneers license because there is not one hanging in his office and the Dept. of Agriculture does not have him listed as an auctioneer…….hmmmmmm

This auctioneer has multiple bidder numbers and knowledge of bidders’ maximum bids.
He bids just under that maximum bid causing that bidder’s maximum bid to take place. He also buys back items and they appear on subsequent auctions.
It is relatively easy to figure him out by paying attention to the items, the winners of those items, and the bidder numbers.

These accusations are unmerited and more than likely from a former employee who is obsessed with ruining our name while seeing our continued success which is a result of hard work treating buyers and sellers fairly. We will be responding via a legal filing shortly in order to obtain and pursue the person that chooses to not put a name to things like this. Items we purchase are under the same guidelines as all other bidders.
I can give you thousands of people we deal with and will gladly be addressing this in the future. I am sorry that someone would take this approach to try to deter our access we do not take that option and attempt to please everyone we have transactions with. To those of you who like to complain, get a life Larry has always been fair and honest I,ve bought a lot of items, from Larry this auction. Is one of the easiest auction to buy from.he tells you to come and look at the items. Before you buy.so grow people.Larry is a good guy Period!
I have bought from Elite Estate auctions and have never had a problem!!!! I have spent some time with the owner,
and he is a straight shooter. I do a LOT of auction purchasing through many sales, and Elite Estate auction is a fine auction. So, bib with confidence!

I love doing auctions and was going to sign up to bid on the elite estate groups but came across this rip-off report and had changed my mind after reading it, but I as continued reading I seen your response and decided to maybe give them a chance. I didnt even think the auctioneers could bid on their own items. Well anyway I am glad the owner and you posted a rebuttal. Thanks
I found out about Elite Estate Group Auction after reading a news story about them selling an old fruitcake. My wife and I have an ebay store just outside of Columbus, We have since purchased many items from their auctions. They are a fair and honest company to buy from. I see many of their items sell for a small fraction of their real value. They have great deals. Quite honestly, we buy item for ourselves, but the majority, we purchase to resell. I have been around auctions all my life. It is a common practice for employees to bid as well right along with other bidders. Some times you may see an item come up for sale at a later auction, most likely this is because the first buyer didn’t pay for it. Larry and his company have always been fair to deal with. They have great items and great prices. I hate to see someone who obviously doesnt know what they are talking about, trying to ruin their good name. I am not associated with them, I am just a buyer.
