Johnson Realty, Carlton Hackney, Military EDU Training Services. I was schedule to do each of my classes on Monday and Wednesday from 8:30AM – 11:30AM. The first two classes were canceled because Mr. Hackney had to train the 87 Battalion before they went overseas. At first the instructor and Mr. Hackney were coming to the training facility on a regular basis, then he just quit coming at all. I first noticed than that something wasn’t right in mid-June, but I couldn’t really put a fix on it. The instructor quit coming as well, and this made me feel bad! I had to drove a 1 ½ hour to come to a class where that was not an instructor. On top of that, there was no Mr. Hackney present. When I called him, he just panicked, and attacked as if he was going to have a nervous breakdown. He than informed me that everything was alright, and he would make it up to me.
After that things went down hill. I had to reschedule my three courses that I paid $2, 2585.00 twice; once in late June, then again in July. Mr. Hackney kept giving me excuses after excuses. I tried to wait it out, but I knew down within something was not right. Eventually I wasn’t able to receive any responses from Mr. Hackney. I even drove by the building on several occasions to see that it was vacant without a soul available. Please ANYONE who is reading this believe me. If you don’t want to, then just call the three numbers listed below. The phone will just rang, and then the voice-mail will come on with Mr. Hackney introducing his scam. I have also provided a time below of all the events how they occur underneath the telephone number.

1. March 31, 2011: I received my first telephone call from Mr. Hackney a few days after I attended the Fort Bragg Job Fair.
2. April 6, 2011: My first meeting occurred with Mr. Hackney. We met at 9:00, and he explained all three of the Certification programs, as well as explained how I would get a special package deal for $2,585 for all three courses. The package deal covered the cost of all three courses, training materials, exams, etc. I paid Mr. Hackney in cash $995.00 for the A+ Certification Exam. I received an Authorization Form, as well as a receipt.
I also e-mail Mr. Hackney later on, and stated “I appreciate you taking the time to explain the many career opportunities within the IT field. I am very excited at beginning the A+ course during late May. I have attached a copy of my Resume` as I stated that I would. Have a wonderful evening.”
3. April 14, 2011: I paid Mr. Hackney $1,590.00 for the remaining three courses.
4. June5: Mr. Hackney called me, and told me that my first class would not be June 6, 2011, but June 15. His reason was because he had to use the office to train the 87 Battalion, before they left to go to Afghanistan.
5. June: 6, 2011: Mr. Hackney e-mailed me, and this was the e-mail; “Good afternoon Mr. —. Please note the link for access to your class yourlearninghub.com. Your instructor requested you working through Lessons I and II for class on next Monday. Your instructor is K. McKeithan. Thank you.”
6. July 7, 2011: I spoke with Mr. Hackney, and he stated that “You are gentlemen and have a super future ahead of you. Mrs. Lienbach is out until Monday. She will email your syllabus then.” I never received that syllabus, and therefore had to reschedule all of my classes a second time.
7. July 22, 2011: I spoke with Mr. Hackney over the phone, and through e-mail. We agreed that I would meet with him on Monday July 25 to sign the Authorization Form for my rescheduling of classes. The E-mail message detailed, “Mr. Hackney, since you are a very busy man, I went ahead and prepared a sample receipt letter for you. I hope this makes it very convenient for you. Enjoy your weekend.” I had type the letter up, because I felt it would be easier for Mr. Hackney, and myself to sign the rescheduling of classes for Spring 2012 easier since he claimed he was so busy.
8. July 25, 2011: I spoke with Mr. Hackney at 9:37 in the morning. I was upset when I spoke with him; because he was suppose to meet with me at 8:30 in the morning. I text him, and he text me back and said that he was in Raleigh in several meeting. I then text him that he was playing games, and if he wouldn’t given a written letter stating that I could change my courses by the end of the day, that I would need my money back immediately.
I meet with Mr. Hackney at 12:00. Upon arrival, Mr. Hackney signed my new Authorization Form. The form allowed me to withdraw from all three of my classes for the 2011 year, and to reschedule all three classes for spring 2012. The three courses would range from Jan 9, 2012- May 9, 2012. I was allowed a free course due to the fact that I had to reschedule my courses twice, as well as do so much traveling. This caused me wasted time, and much gas money. Mr. Hackney stated that this was a way of making everything up to me. Mr. Hackney also mentioned that he had an accident, and wore a wrap band around his hand where he had been burned. He said the accident occurred while he was changing his temperature gauge for his car.
9. August 1, 2011: I sent Mr. Hackney an e-mail. I stated “Good evening Mr. Hackney, I haven’t seen or heard from you in a while! I got an A out of my last course that finished on Sunday. I have one more class that begins in October, and then I will graduate in December. I was wondering when would be a good time to come by and take some practice exams. I am off next Wednesday. If this is an inconvenience, then I can come the following Wednesday (Sept 8, 2011). Please let me know. Once again thanks for educating me about all of the Certifications, and helping me get one step closing to the goal that I am trying to reach.” This conversation was based on the fact of finding employment after completing the three certification courses.
10. August 3, 2011: I spoke with Mr. Hackney through e-mail. He stated, “This is the best information from the Chamber of Commerce on IT jobs. Call Amber at (910)-432-9071 EXT 244 to have sent to you direct. I will not have laptop access for hours.”
11. August 4, 2011: I spoke with Mr. Hackney via e-mail. The e-mail included the following, “Attached please find the requested information pertaining to the economic impacts generated as a result of the BRAC 2005 mandates. If I can provide any additional information, please let me know.” We had discussed how the Fort Bragg Movement was going to help increase job in Fayetteville, as well as Fort Bragg.
12. Late August: I received my last E-mail from Mr. Hackney. He told me he had just gotten out of the hospital, and needed to take so time to rest. I told him to take as much time as he needed to get well. My intentions were to give Mr. Hackney a month, and then I would contact him back.
13. October/November: I had been trying to contact Mr. Hackney via E-mail and Telephone from October 26, 2011 and November 4, 2011. After driving by Mr. Hackney’s training facility, it looks lifeless, and abandon inside.

I purchased from Mr. Carlton Hackney; Military EDU Training Services (located in Spring Lake, North Carolina) 3 IT Certifications for my Son to further his education for $1695. Mr. Hackney said he gave me a “special price” cause he wanted to help us
Carlton Hackney came back to me 5 months later and wanted another $2000. I asked for a refund, Mr. Hackney sent me an email stating “Will Do”. Since February 2011 I have been promised repeatedly, in writing that my refund is either being processed or in the mail.
Today, June 15th, 2011 I still have not received a refund. I am very concerned that this is going to happen to others. $1695.00 is a lot of money!
All contact info seems to lead back to Mr. Hackney or the one other person who sometimes answers the phone. Therefore no one will help me.
This has been extremely frustrating and do not want him to take advantage of others.

He is running a tranny prostitute ring. He was using the money from the Certs class to fit the bill. Every woman that came there was not a real woman. One of my friends took the class, and she was born a male. She said she blowed Mr. Hackney off for $40.00.
All of this is true, and I even know of two other transsexuals who describe the same story about hackney. Hackney used his IT Certification Program to attract transsexuals, as well as young gay men. He would pay them with the money he had acquired from the Federal Government.
Due to bad budgeting skills, and not being able to get any other funding, he could not pay any of his employees. This caused them to quit, and report him to the NC Labor Board, IRS, and DoD. Several lawsuits were filed against Mr. Hackney, and it caused several thousands of dollars that has not been reimbursed to students.
There are also charges against him for sexually assaulting two of his underage certification students. A warrant was issued, and he is still awaiting trial. This man has a sick mind, and he needs to be exposed.
He could pay the bills for his businesses if he would quite giving the money to the gay men, and trannies that he is paying to perform anal sex on him. This is a shame, because these classes could really help a lot of people, but he is using them to pick up young men. I am currently taking the Network + class online. The class has myself, and two other people. I pass the A+ exam, but failed the Security + exam. So I am restudy to take it. The course is a bit challenging. Even though Hackney has a family, his extreme mannerism, and extra polite smiling gave me the wrong impression. He was very flamming, and prissy. I think he wanted me, but I don’t sling that way! Now that I have read what is on this site, I will question him the next time I meet with him. If he is scamming people, this needs to be reported to the press.
I also read down below, that there are some charges for Rape / Molestation. If this is true, then I am backing away immediately!
He didn’t flee town. He is still working at another location in Fayetteville, and on Fort Bragg. There are two account of a Rape / Molestation charge against him for having intercourse with two of his underage students. He used the classes to get close to the young men!

My story is the second story above, added January 5, 2012. This man owes me over $2500.00 hundred dollars. I never got any of the money back. I was going to take him to court, but I do not know his current where about. I was supposed to start my first class in January. I am out of $2,500.00, plus I never got certified for anything. If you, or anyone else knows his where about, please post.
Mr. Hackney also tried to get me to become his work partner since I had an advance degree. I was interested at first, but then I decline. I also felt Mr. Hackney was a little gay. He would always call my cell phone, and we would talk. He also would send me e-mail, and tried to get me to send him so more money for his scam. This was during last September. The last time I heard from Mr. Hackney was November 17, 2012. He told me that he would reimburse me my money, but he never did. This was after my attorney had written him. I decided not to pursue the matter in court, because he moved his business. This is a shame, this man con so many people. I think he would have tried to have sex with me had I been around him longer. I am not gay; I just want my money back.

Are you serious! I paid this man over 1700.00. What in the world is going on here! I am contacting the Fayetteville Observer!
Connie – did the observer ever publish your story or anything? Maybe if more of us come forward and contact them they will.
When I spoke with the Fayetteville Observer, they told me that several people had already contacted them about this. As a matter of fact, they could not release the story because they waiting to hear back from the IRS and Department of Defense. I just pick up my pieces, and went on. I still had my attorney contact Mr. Hackney, and there is a warrant for his arrest in three counties. This is getting ridiculous!
I am shocked at reading all of this. I paid for the A+ Certification course in late July. I was told that the courses were going to start in August 2011. Mr. Hackney than call me back, and told me that the course wouldn’t start until January 2012. I came across this site because a friend of mine told me that they were no longer in business. 10. August 3, 2011: I spoke with Mr. Hackney through e-mail. He stated, “This is the best information from the Chamber of Commerce on IT jobs. Call Amber at (910)-432-9071 EXT 244 to have sent to you direct. I will not have laptop access for hours.”
11. August 4, 2011: I spoke with Mr. Hackney via e-mail. The e-mail included the following, “Attached please find the requested information pertaining to the economic impacts generated as a result of the BRAC 2005 mandates. If I can provide any additional information, please let me know.” We had discussed how the Fort Bragg Movement was going to help increase job in Fayetteville, as well as Fort Bragg.
12. Late August: I received my last E-mail from Mr. Hackney. He told me he had just gotten out of the hospital, and needed to take so time to rest. I told him to take as much time as he needed to get well. My intentions were to give Mr. Hackney a month, and then I would contact him back.
13. October/November: I had been trying to contact Mr. Hackney via E-mail and Telephone from October 26, 2011 and November 4, 2011. After driving by Mr. Hackney’s training facility, it looks lifeless, and abandon inside.
This man actually did all of this too you. I wish I would have seen this site before I paid all of that money. I even dial those numbers, and I got the voice mail. When I went by, that lady refused to open the door. She then went in the back and turned off the lights. Can you believe that shit!
At least somebody is there now. All the times that I went by the Military EDU office nobody was there. I think that they are hiding out. I already have contacted an attorney, and you need to do the same!

Unfortunately, I’m in same boat you all are. I wish I would have seen this post earlier else I would’ve never had paid all the money for Mr. Hackney’s supposed services. I invested approximately $2,600 for 3 IT packages (courses + exams) and I have yet reaped the benefits of what I paid for. It’s been 3 months now and he’s still giving me the runaround for my refund. I just don’t understand why he’s still in business. All he’s doing is ripping innocent people off. I plan on suing him because it’s obvious that he has been doing this and getting away with for awhile.
Everybody needs to get together and file a joint lawsuit. This man is scamming people big time. I can’t believe he is doing all of this and getting away with it. Then that lady in the military EDU building never opens the door. She even keeps the lights off, and pretend as if nobody is there. What the hell is going on?
I have drove by there Erin and seen that same lady. I think she is doing this on purpose. I think she is covering for Mr. Hackney, because she knew what he has done to everybody. We need to try to wait to she comes out, and get some answers. I would really like to know where Mr. Hackney is really hiding at. He needs to come clean to everyone!

I think he still is in town. The military people next door is telling everyone to pursue a lawsuit. The guy in charge is saying he took advantage of a lot of people. He even said a fight broke out between Mr. Hackney and one of the workers. Mr. Hackney had the woman arrested for communicating threats!

He should is running a tranny prostitute ring. He was using the money from the Certs class to fit the bill. Every woman that came there was not a real woman. One of my friends took the class, and she was born a male. She said she blowed Mr. Hackney off for $40.00.
I am very sorry for your issues, but would like you to know that I too have had contact with Mr. Hackney. There are several of us that have been taken by Mr. Hackney. Lawsuits have been filed, complaints to the Labor Board in NC, and even the IRS. Nobody in NC seems to care that this man ruins lives, steals from hardworking people, and makes false promises. I have in writing where he has stated he owes me over 5,000.00 and yet that did not seem to phase the state of NC. I know there have been Military Spouses who have contacted base lawyers and yet, he is still operating under ‘Military EDU Training Services’.. very misleading. Good luck getting your money back, I have been trying for 14 months and have seen nothing!!!!
