These unscrupulous d***heads won’t stop calling my phone no matter what I do. I have filed complaints with the BBB and the attorney general of AZ. Nobody seems to be able to do anything about this marketing practice.
Review #2 Solar Bear Predatory Practices
Solar Bear did repeatedly auto dial my home. When asked to be removed from their DO NOT CALL LIST they would hang up on me and not remove the number.
I filed an FCC complaint. I filed a complaint with the Attorney General Tom Horne’s office to which Solar Bear stated “they did not contact me and had removed me from their list” yet I was solicited again from them this week. They are devious, liars, very disreputable and not very amicable about removing me from their lists. After they stated they removed me from their list, their machine called me again.
I would like the complaint logged on your site for the public to see. There is various info on the internet on other sites of them doing this type of practices and the public should know they are aggressive, unethical and untrustworthy. The owner Scott Bidwell wrote a false and misleading letter to the AG stating they removed both my numbers from their list, yet they still auto dialed or ignorant employees continue to call.

“Ben” called at 8:28 AM from Solar Bear and started his little sales pitch, and while he was talking, I informed him we were on the National Do Not Call List and I was wondering why on earth he was bothering me? At that point he said he was sorry and hurriedly hung up the telephone.

I too have been receiving solicitation calls from Solar Bear, though I just never answer. I received a call at 8:32 AM today so I decided to call them back. Their automated system says to press 1 if you’d like to not be called again but when you do that you are transferred to a voice mailbox that is full; what a joke! I called back again and pressed 2 to speak to a representative for service. I asked the lady how they got my number and she said she had no idea. I then informed her their “opt out” mailbox was full and told her maybe somebody should ACTUALLY CHECK IT. I asked to speak to a manger and was transferred to yet another FULL VOICE MAILBOX!
I have since filed complaints with the National Do Not Call Registry (I’ve been on their list since Jan 2011!) and the BBB. Solar Bear has an “F” rating with the BBB anyway so I don’t know how much difference that complaint will make LOL. I am going to see about filing a claim against them in small claims court next.
