Frequently Asked Questions
Why was this website started?
The emergence of the Internet has created enormous efficiencies in how we live and work. However, the same technology that has improved our lives has also enabled and empowered ripoff artists, scammers, and fraudulent activities. We started GetPayback.com as a podium or soap box for consumers or individuals that want their voice heard. If you’ve been harmed, stand up and tell the world! The more you share about your experiences, the less likely history will repeat itself and others will be harmed in the same way. There is power in numbers and power in knowledge, use them both to your advantage and share your story with the world on GetPayback.com!
Are visitors allowed to post false content?
No! We have a strict policy against submitting false claims. Every user, when submitting a claim agrees to this policy. This policy includes disallowing users from posting content in a way that violates anyone’s rights or any laws. GetPayback.com is NOT a forum to harass or infringe on anyone’s rights, it is a forum for individuals and organizations to share true stories, in an effort to provide justice to those who have been wronged, and hopefully reduce future fraud and scam activities.
What if I believe content is false?
We have no way of determining whether content is false and do not represent that all content on GetPayback.com is true. We are an internet service provider, and those publishing claims on our site must represent that all information is true. If you believe there is false information on our website, let us know! Click here to begin a claim dispute process. We will review the claim, contact the poster, handle any correspondences between claimer and disputer to the other party, and process any changes. Due to the time and manpower required for this process, we must charge a $299 fee for this. More information on this dispute process can be found here.
What’s the difference between a free claim and a website?
Payback Inc. offers two main services to users. Through GetPayback.com our online interactive computer service, users can submit complaints, reviews, stories (good or bad) for free. After we receive your submission it goes through an automated processing system as well as a check by one of our content review specialists to make sure the submission doesn’t violate the terms of service. We do not alter the content of the story, although we may at times fix any minor spelling or grammatical errors. If we receive a submission that lacks the required information or doesn’t follow our guidelines we will not post it, so please take time, tell your whole story, and we appreciate proper grammar! Explaining what happened to you in as much detail as possible will is the most effective way to get your post seen by the world. Generally all new submissions are processed within 24 hours but usually within only a couple. If you wish to submit your free claim now CLICK HERE.
The second service we off is for people who want to take their claim, review, or story to the next level, and instead of having it posted on our website you can build your own entire website on your own domain! While our free post system is very effective and that alone will likely be heard by millions of people, building your own website really separates you from the crowd. Similar to the free claim process, the website product is for the most part automated, other than a few technical things we need to do for each site. After you purchase one of the 3 packages we offer, we will then contact you and request the content of your story, which can consists of both text and images. We then take your content and use it to automatically generate your own payback website! You can read more about the packages we offer on this page: PAYBACK WEBSITES

How can you guarantee my site will get ranked?
Search engine marketing is more of an art than a science, and search engines really control who gets ranked well and who doesn’t. However, since we employ some of the industry’s top professionals, we are so confident that, if your site doesn’t rank on the first page of Google within six months, we will refund your money entirely! You won’t find many companies that will offer you such a “no-strings-attached” guarantee in any area of search engine marketing or optimization. Some companies will claim successful rankings, but, if you read the fine print, you will find that you don’t get your money back or at least not all of it, if they are unsuccessful. No fine print here!
Will you take my website or any of it’s content down?
Only if you ask us too! There are some sites out there that allow users to post reviews or comments about companies or businesses online but have policies where they will never take down any content for any reason. They try to use this as a selling point. Our point of view is that this is ridiculous. We won’t take down your site or content if another party asks us to unless you give us permission to. If you read the fine print on some of these other sites, you will find that their policies go both ways, meaning they won’t take down content if another party asks, but they also won’t take down any content you publish! What if you settle your dispute and no longer want to keep your site online? No problem, and congratulations! If you request a claim to be withdrawn awe will honor that request after you complete the withdrawal process by either removing the claim or modifying the claim and noting that the poster has withdrawn the claim. Per the terms of agreement that all users agree to we reserve the complete and only right to decide whether a claim is completely deleted or modified. That decision is made in most cases by the reason you ask for removal.
The only time we would take down a claim or website without the claimers permission is by court order and Subpoena, through our dispute resolution process (you can read more about that here), if there is a trademark violation on your site or ours, or you violate the terms of our agreement, which includes the requirement that the content you post on your site is truthful. This is easily avoidable – just don’t publish other people’s logos or trademarks tell the truth! Using a person’s or company’s name in your story is not a Trademark violation unless you in some way imply you are that person or company.
